हाम्रो मन एकदम संवेदनशील अंग हो । बाइबलले बताउँछ कि, हामीले आफ्नो मनले परमेश्वरको सेवा गर्ने र उहाँलाई प्रेम गर्ने गर्छौँ । हामीले जे सोच्छौँ, त्यहि नै हुन्छौँ । यसकारण, शैतानले हामीलाई निरुत्साहित बनाउन र परमेश्वरप्रतिको भक्तिबाट बहकाउन हाम्रो मनमा आक्रमण गरिराखेको हुन्छ । धेरै पटक, त्यसले हामीलाई हाम्रो विगतका गल्तीहरू, कमजोरीहरु र समस्याहरु देखाएर ख्रीष्ट येशूबाट टाढा गराउने प्रयत्न गर्नेगर्छ । अनि, यदि हामीले त्यसका झुटहरुलाई विश्वास गरेर जियौँ भने परमेश्वरको प्रतिज्ञाहरुबाट वन्चित हुन्छौँ । हाम्रो मनलाई हरेक परिस्थितिमा परमेश्वरको वचनको सत्यताद्वारा जोगाइराख्नु पर्छ । जब हामीले आफ्नो मनलाई जोगाउँदैनौं, हामी आफ्नै शारीरिक चेतना र कमजोरीहरुमा भर परेर जिइराखेको हुन्छौँ । इजरायलीहरु पनि परमेश्वरको प्रतिज्ञामा भर नपरेर आफ्नै अक्षमता र कमजोरीलाई प्राथमिकता दिएको कारण प्रतिज्ञाको देशमा प्रवेश गर्न पाएका थिएनन् । यसकारण हामीले परमेश्वरको वचनलाई मनन गरेर, इश्वरीय संगतिमा जोडिएर, र परमेश्वरको उपस्थितिमा फर्केर आफ्नो मनको रक्षा गर्नु पर्छ । यो काम हामीले आफूलाई मन परेपनि, नपरे पनि गर्नैपर्ने हुन्छ, किनभने यहि बानीले नै हाम्रो सम्पूर्ण जीवनलाई सुरक्षा गर्छ ।
Our mind is a very sensitive organ. The Bible tells us that we serve and love the Lord with our minds. We are what we think of ourselves. So, the devil attacks our minds to discourage us and distract us from our devotion to God. So many times, he reminds us of our mistakes, weaknesses, and problems to disconnect us from Christ Jesus. And, believing the lies of satan obstruct the promises of God in our life. Our minds should be guarded in all situations by the truths of the Word of God. When we do not protect our minds, we start depending upon our physical senses and limitations. Israelites could not enter into the promised land because they didn't rely on God, rather considered themselves unworthy and weak to possess it. So we have to guard our minds with the meditation of the Word of God, Godly fellowship, and returning to the presence of God. We should be diligent in doing this, whether we like it or not since this habit safeguards our whole life.
