What are you talking about? He wanted to fight Jiri first, because Jiri vacated the belt first. Alex was never even in the LHW conversation when Hill became champ because only a few months after Hill won the belt Alex got knocked tf out by Izzy and then decided to move up to LHW.

With all due respect to Jamal, I personally think he is a champion more down to luck of the draw but good for him. He beat Glover Texeira which in my opinion was well past his sell by date and he hasn't defended his title not even once and now he's injured. He would 100% lose his belt against Pereira, Ankalaev or Prochazka and he wouldn't have got it in the first place had he faced anyone of them instead of Texeira.

Achilles injury isn't as important in fighting as it would be in football or basketball, you don't have to run around as much in the octagon and theres been people that fully recovered from Achilles injuries and came back just as good

Its not as bad in these higher weight divisions. Its way worse for the small guys, because the have to be extremely fast and have all these crazy techniques etc. 😂 the big boys can even get away with older age, compared to the smaller ones.
