Saw them live many times. Them and Harmonium are best bands I've ever seen. I've been in love with Rachel ever since but sadly have never met her aha...
Wow, I so remember the first time I heard this band, I was walking down the stairs to go to work at the Engine Shed, in Stratford, it was the end of the 1970's or something...and they were rehearsing this song...omg! I was just so happy to hear this amazing piece of work! And they were all lovely people! Awesome musicians....Canadian and bilingual! Thank You CANO! You have made a difference!!! In me, at least!
My best lifelong friend is John Doerr - the bass/keys/trombone player in CANO. We were in our first band together in 1965. I ended up playing acoustic guitar with the band when they resurrected in 2005'ish and I played with them right until the final end of the band - the very final concert in Kapuskasing in (I think) 2011. This is such a treat for me to see this video. Thanks so much for posting 69stepe. This footage is extremely hard to find. Thanks again.
Spirit of the North the best, Wasyl Kohut the great!

Vous me manquez tous!
Playing both in my head, I can hear it! I've seen Renaissance in concert and Annie & Rachel do sound very similar.......both with incredible voices. Merci for commenting on that.
@@RobertLaberge Oui! It was in Toronto at an old & beautiful concert hall, sometime after "Turn of the Cards" album was released........1975-ish? The venue, the music & Annie's voice swept me away to another time & place. It was magic. Thanks Robert for bringing back those great memories of live music in the 70's. Cheers from Peterborough.
Wonderful music thanks.
Quelle voix elle a cette Rachel !!
totally in love ....still ....with the singer and her velvet/laser/sweet voice ......delicious band .....

Wildly underrated Canadian band. They should have had a much wider following.
Just wonderful.
(Priere d'excuser mon francais rouille.)
