- Today while out flying my Phantom 3, I got to experience going on the Wappen Von Hamburg. This was the first major ship Germany built after WWII. It was a luxury Cruise ship for years. This is one of only three vintage cruise ships left in the United States. Chris Willson who owns it came out to ask me about my Phantom and invited me aboard. What a experience. He is slowly trying to refurbish the ship back to its splendor one section at a time.

She is a beautiful vessel. So glad Chris and co. are preserving her for future generations. Support Chris if you would, he has a mammoth task ahead of him.
So much has been done since I shot this video. I want to shoot another updated video sometime to show the work that being done. If anyone has any photos or videos from the time you were on her please share.
This is the ship my father and his parents took a day trip to Heilgoland in 1971. He remembers he got to ride on the deck above the bow deck He says.
1971 i was an AB (able bodyed seaman) for few month before I went to Hospital-Ship
