Not sure what a QR Code is or how to use it on your iPhone? I'll show you how and you don't even need an app plus it's totally FREE!
Before scanning the QR codes you want to make sure you have the IOS version 11 or higher and that you have enabled the QR Code to be ready by your camera. If you don't know how to do this, don't worry, I'll walk you through both of these steps before you scan your first QR Code with your iPhone.

This is why I put these videos together. I don't want anyone to feel helpless when it comes to all this new technology.
GM used QR codes (what engineers called 3D-Bar Code) on diesel fuel injectors that was an exact measurement of how much fuel was injected at normal pressure. This would allow the computer to open the injector longer, shorter or the same as another. This kept every power stroke identical HP & Torque. This is a racing Holly Grail.

Do you need to download a software program app for barcode items at grocery stores to fetch for prices? Or is it already built in on my se 2nd generation iphone. The QR code is completely a different program compare to what I'm asking.
She said go to yr HP camera and do the settings to ON or OFF to scan the qr code. Hope this helps. :)

So you have to be connected to the internet when scanning the code? There seems to be a mixed response when i ask people here in Australia? Some say yes and some say no.
Sharon, you do not need to be connected to the internet in order to use your camera for the QR code HOWEVER, you can pretty much assume that the QR code is taking you to somewhere online and that you do need Internet to access wherever that QR codes is taking you.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Yes, you can. Depending on where you made the QR code, they should allow you to download it as a jpg. or png and then you can use it where ever you'd like. Great idea by the way!!!

GREAT VIDEO I was so hopeful but it didn't work on my iphone even though I am using software version 15.3.1 and the scan qr code button is green in settings. So darn frustrating
Have you tried it with different QR codes? If you were trying it with mine in this video, unfortunately, I didn't realize I was on a 14-day trial when I did this video with the QR code and this entire time no one could scan the code. Hopefully you were able to get it to work.

It said the qr site is no longer available. I'm trying to figure out how to read a qR code that is on my phone ? Can it be done though IOS instead of downloading Google photos onto my phone?

I am a clueless senior, have a lowly Android LG158VL Tracfone , not sure that it will be able to scan QR Codes, may need to download the correct app.

This shows how to do it with any android device. It looks like the same as iPhone but settings are in different places.

How do you scan a QR code from a website from your camera. Still don’t understand
how come you don't do this for android. So here is my problem. I subscribe to some substacks. I assume some where on my phone I have the ap. When I go to my email an click on a substack I subscribe to there is a link to read on the ap. However I can't do it on my phone. If I click on the read it on the ap, it takes me to the qr code and says to dowload the ap. I scan the code but nothing happens after that. Parade magazine did the same thing a few years ago when it stopped publishing a print version. So how do I get to the ap on my lap top
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with substacks and I only have Apple products right now. Have you tried going to the Google Play Store and searching for the app there? Or you could go to their website and it looks like on the footer there is a link to be able to go right to the app on your phone. I'm not really sure about apps on the laptop as it looks like they only have it for tablet and mobile devices.

That is very good. I prefer to open up my quick menu option and look for the scanner. Tap on that and then scan. And voila.
How do you do it from a screenshot on your camera roll taken from a video without another device and especially without some bloatware-laden app?
I just did this the other day. I took a screen shot of a frame in this video that had my QR code, went to my photos, cropped the image down to just the qr code, opened it up tapped and held down on the image and the menu popped up. It said Open in Safari, clicked on that and viola, it opened right to the link I'm linked the QR code to. Give that a try with the screenshot you have on your camera roll and let me know if it works for you.

Oh darn it. When you tapped and held down on the image did any menu pop up? I would think that the iOS, if up to date would allow you to do this. I do have an iPhone 12 pro but I wouldn't think that would matter. I've seen other videos that have iPhone 6, 7, 8 + be able to scan the code. Have you tried to scan a regular QR code from your camera and it work? I'm wondering if maybe the image is not clear enough?
@@Socialmedia4beginners yeah I’m thinking resolution too. Only able to “delete”, “add to all photos”, “revert” to pre-cropped, etc context menu when pressing and holding from camera roll. Thank you I have always wondered how to scan a QR code and what it is. You explained it so it was easy to follow and I could stop and go back and listen until I did. I didn't know where Safari was but after trying to see what it was you were clicking on I put my phone camera on over your QR and on my phone it showed this thing at the top of the screen and I taped on it and the information you had came up. I get scared to do things because if there is a way to mess it up I am the one who can do that. Then can get help from my brother to fix it.
I am so glad you overcame and was able to scan the QR code. Talk about tenacity!
