Hi! I’m Margo Gonzales from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I suspect by your manner of speaking that you are from somewhere here in the South! I am an avid doll collector with the majority of my collection being dolls by Annette Himstedt who retired in 2009. I am new to your channel but enjoy all the great shows! My collection has a little bit of everything and is comprised of somewhere between 500-600 dolls that I display in my home. Anyway my newest “love” is Big Stella. She is my first doll from the Stella Squad. My one other doll is a customized Dollstown which was a collaboration between Connie Lowe and Val Zeitler in 2015. I am a member of two local doll clubs. I’m attending my first UFDC convention with my husband this year in Kansas. I would enjoy meeting you there. Will you have a gathering there? Hi Margot welcome here 💜💜 I won't be at the UFDC convention unfortunately- I'm affiliated with MDCC and we're in New Orleans this year. Maybe next year I'll be able to make it to the UFDC one 🤞 you will have an amazing time it's another great convention 💜
Well my son is graduating from LSU tomorrow so I’m thinking the weekend is going to be a little hectic for me. Don’t know if I could pull it off getting to New Orleans Monteleone Sunday. You will have a marvelous time. Hoping for better weather. It’s been severe thunderstorms the past 48 hours. I’m sure MDCC convention in August will be fabulous! Several members of our clubs will be going! I am going all out at UFDC and didn’t budget for 2 conventions in one year 🙁
Hi Margo! I enjoyed your comment! Your doll collection sounds amazing! I’m 64 and rekindled my doll collecting during COVID. My father moved in with us & I cared for him to the very end. Dolls provided such a relief from reality. I went to my first UFDC this year in Seattle. You will have a great time! Happy doll days! All the best! 🎉 Karri
You finally have a doll with the big Obitsu body! Congrats! :D My old lady doll is over twenty years old, and she can still pose and stand up. lol Obitsu had those joints first. Maybe not so pretty as the ones on the new dolls, though. They're part of why I liked the brand so much. That old doll of mine even still squeaks in some of her joints.
