In my humble opinion, this is the best performance I've known so far, even better than the Lang Lang/Yu Long/CPO version. Haochen is amazing when it comes to even the choppiest passages with absolute ZERO wrong note.

I think the horn could have come out much more at 9:26, that's a great line.

It's about Chinese Peking Opera, 'er' means two, 'Huang' is a professional term in opera

@@Scriabin_fan Direct transliteration: two yellows. It's not clear how this name came about. There are reasonable arguments that it may have indicated the origin of this opera tradition being from two places both whose names include the character huang, which means yellow. As there are a lot of places with names including this character, in the general regions this tradition may have originated, there is no definitive conclusion as to which two places they were. This opera tradition has persevered through hundreds of years and is now a major part of Beijing Opera, the most popular of Chinese operas. It is also a major component in most other types of Chinese opera. It is rare to find a Chinese opera form which does not include as least some influence of erhuang. The most appropriate English name for this is just erhuang. Asking for its English translation is like asking for the English translation of katana. There really is no point.
