Ok, he is a legend already, still playing with such passion and energy after so many years
Kissin never loses the melody no matter how passionate, tumultuous, and seemingly chaotic the music might get. He draws us in with every single note, telling a story with such deep meaning. Breathtaking!!! 🥹👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I truly have no words. This is my favorite composer, and I have been listening to you play him for years. You are the absolute best! As an English major, I cringe at saying that because it is so lame - not eloquent or expressive, but it's true. I have listened to many other pianists attempt the etude-tableaux op 39 no 5; everyone attempts accuracy and emotion, but all fall short. Some can't play with accuracy, some can't play with emotion, some have trouble with both. You, EK, are completely amazing and brilliant. I would LOVE to see you in person! I live in the Seattle area. The closest you are coming is SF in May 2024, and I desperately want to be there! As a 5th grade teacher I don't make enough money to travel, so I guess I need to hope it is streamed, either live or recorded. You are amazing - supremely talented and emotionally evocative. Please continue what you are doing!
He deserve stand ovation
He just keeps getting and better. I heard him play the complete Op. 39 in recital many years ago and it was a thrilling concert.
I agree he is reaching a whole new level of brilliance. He was never this great since he was 13 years old but now he is otherworldly.
Kissin never fails to amaze me he touch on the keyboard is so accurately he is flawless he plays with such (PASSION AND PROFUOUND FEELING) Bravo Maestro Kissin!!!
Maestro Kissin. Yesterday evening I saw him on "Klavier Festival Ruhr", in Essen/Germany.
What a great evening. Second part, plus encore al RACHMANINOW.
Happy Day to hear him play. Mit Seele.
Wunderbar.
In the Tradition of the great Russian piano Players, like Rubinstein and Horowitz, Richter, etc.
I'm really not sure he's a mortal like the rest of us. What a performance.😮

If you can handle something as complex as piano, you can handle it all. Another stupid question, how many hours do you practice a day.
3:34 no 2

I can never understand how concert pianists play with the intensity coming out in facial expressions etc practice at home. Surely they can't be doing that every time they practice it would be exhausting?, but then if course if you go from calm practice to playing un public you can't change things otherwise you would mess up?
pianists reliving each time the piece. Just most of the time they work on practicing smaller piece and play full piece once in a while. So its not as exhausting as you might think
