If you look at all the episodes of Airwolf, the aircraft management is always top-notch, so if you do weathering like other flight models, it will look over-the-top. If I had to direct it, there was a time when I got covered in sand in the desert during a battle scene.

Very nice attention to detail. The rivets, belly rocket launchers, and turbo thrusters/intakes look perfect.
I bet they wished they had a scale model of this fidelity when they filmed! Just needs some weathering details and it's perfect.
