You hear the two off screen calling for the food, meanwhile the youngest is getting more food than it can hardly consume. Lol. The mom looking around confused. The VO needs to design their obsevation sites better so they dont interfer with the normal activity and behaviors of the birds. By time the parent bird has figured out what has happened it sounds like the pit has turned into the thunder dome...poor little guys. Junior up in the actual nest chamber is in the advanced stages of a serious food coma while its siblings sound like they are almost to the point of eating each other.
ya, seems like normally the chicks when hearing the mother, they would go to the light of the tunnel entrance. But with the side open light or the light for the camera, it disorients them to the brighter light. Think the gap the person made for the camera was to keep them from huddling near the camera, since it might generate heat and they might huddle near it for warmth & also would not focus if they got too close.
