Mount Batur is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas North West of Mount Agung on the island of Bali, Indonesia. Its is beside the caldera lake. We had just read in books that an active volcano always has lakes besides them and it is really required to cool down the hot molten lava.

Thanks for the informative video. My question is this hike dangerous? I mean are the roads wide enough? As you mentioned it has steep curve. Is it scary? Can someone stop in first or second pit stop if it’s not physically possible to reach the top? Thanks in advance
The hike is mid level and it's not dangerous at all. It is tidious. It's not at all scary. You can take a bike ride too. We recommend you take the trek and finish it ,it's a mesmerizing experience 😇

Hey guys, just came across your video while looking for mt batur trek. Can you suggest is it possible do it with a 2 year old. As in if we carry him on back..
Hi Ashima, it would be Little difficult with a two year old because the trek is tidious and is at intermediate level.hope it answers your query
Can I wear normal sports shoes for trek or need proper trekking shoes?
Proper trekking shoes is recommended
Do we really need to pre book the trek Or we can just directly trek without booking?
We prebooked it because they will pick you up from your hotel and drop you back too. So it's always better to book in advance
