I've worked with a few different Single Family Offices over the last couple of years, including starting a Single Family Office. From this experience, I gained a good understanding of how to set up a Family Office and the difference between a Single Family Office vs a Multi Family Office (Family Office wealth manager).
An important area for every investor to know is how a Family Office invests differently to the average investor. This includes minimising conflicted advice, making investments with asymmetric risk, favouring direct investments, pooling expenses and focusing on capital protection (minimising all Family Office Investment risks outside of commercial risk).
Also, when considering setting up or starting a Family Office, it is important to consider the reason why you're planning to set up the Family Office. The basics on how you structure your Family Office, the consideration of a Family Charter and an Investment Policy Statement.

Preeminent means "surpassing all others; very distinguished in some way." Preliminary means "denoting an action or event preceding or done in preparation for something fuller or more important." Did you mean preliminary? (Serious question for context understanding.) Thank you!

If someone tells you they have spent the last few years making a 1.5% monthly roi bond, and they want you to help promote it, is there a checklist to make sure it's real (so I don't end up in trouble).
(One of the suggestions he gave me was to show it to family offices).
You were probably getting baited by a scammer. My guess is that he was looking for a fall guy to feed to the wolves when his operation would go South... assuming you weren't gonna be his main dish to begin with.
