Women in STEMM: Dr Laura Machuca Suarez

Dr Laura Machuca Suarez is an environmental microbiologist, corrosion subject matter expert (SME) and Senior Research Fellow in Curtin’s Faculty of Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on the interaction of microbes with metals in the field of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion. She’s also a rule breaker in her field, rebelling against the status quo in STEMM. Watch as she shares her story.
