Just passed my CBT at the grand old age of 49 and was looking for a - "bigger" looking first bike to tootle on until I do my A1/2 licences. Looking at the KTMs and your video has helped, cheers.
Lexham insurance are absolutely the best bike insurance company btw, I have 0 no claims and on a provisional and they're literally thousands of pounds cheaper. Great video!
If your 49 you dont have an A1 or an A2 license to do. Its straight to A? At least in the UK anyways
Yo boys Im 14 rn shall i buy this next year i have tried it and i loves it
Is the 2024 MT 125 faster? And nicer to ride Was all for the KTM until this review now unsure 🫤
No. All 125s are slow. You'll get 75 flat out on gps. Get a 2 stroke if you want performance on 125
Have had a KTM 640 LC4 Supermoto nice bike. These 125 it's just a maxi moped, most af them at very similar,it's just different name.
Does anyone know the scilencer name?
remus. its on the ktm power parts website. but it sounds horrible almost like something is loose in the exhaust. i would wait for another company to release or buy the akrapovic
👌
Sad that the engine is not delivering what they sell with "No BS". Its kinda disappointing.
I was looking forward for the Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 2024, but since they are sharing the same engine, it would perform the same (unless they map the ecu differently).
It's so sad that they improved everything but they made the engine worse.
I may look to Yamaha instead
I have watched and read a lot of reviews of this KTM model and wondered whether the bike is ‘limited’ until that 600mile service. Is there are any dealers out there that could confirm this? There are some menu options that aren’t usable until this service, so I think there could be something going on.
I have seen videos of this model doing nearer 70 miles an hour but may be a Euro model rather than a UK one. Took the plunge and purchased this bike, just waiting to pick it up, after having a 2017 version.
@@cmdrweirdfish8196I have a few friends on the exact same ktm that have surpassed the 600mile range and theirs tops out around 80 if really pushed, mine is brand new and below that 600mile range and has a significantly less amount of power
There isn't a lot of video of the new 125 engines of KTM. I'm also checking every day if there's a new test.
Hopefully it's only because it's before the 600miled service and the engine looks underwhelming. Looking forward hearing your impressions and a long term review
@@cmdrweirdfish8196rpm limit is restricted during the break in period until 621miles. The dealer then connects to the ecu to do a software update to remove the break in period rpm limiter.
@@cmdrweirdfish8196 I asked KTM if there are any limitations on the motor before the first service (or 600 miles for the rev limit / shift warning), they said none at all - plus they said they got the bike to 70 mph when running it in. Will no doubt run better if you're not 6 foot 3 and 15ish stone like me!
66 mph really i have 2022 version and i get 74mph
You saw the footage. Full tuck, revving every gear out. But I'm also 6'3" and probably about 15 stone.
@@BikeMatters ah im only 11 stone and about 5ft 9 but remember up till the 600 miles mark the bike wont do full speed as you need to break in the engine mines was the same after my first service i got a straight bit of road flat out i was doing 74mph helps a bit if you dont have a full tank of fuel aswell lol
i have gone 70mph uphill with mine still accelerating.
I’m only 4.5 stone , had 85 mph out of mine ….Up hill too !
