I have many collection of La Rive and the best dupe ever. I have dupe for D&G Light Blue (La Rive Donna), Chloe (La Rive Cute) and Acqua Di Gioia (Acqua Belle). These are my everyday scent and I don't want to splurge my money on expensive perfume since I can smell good with a good fraction of price
Completely agree with you! I know it’s a little inflammatory to say (dupes can sometimes get a bad name), but I’ve had a couple experiences where I thought the dupes were better!! 🤷♀️
I absolutely LOVE Club de Nuit by Armaf. It's stunning but so different from Chanel Coco Mademoiselle to my nose.
I've also had the same lesson as you with Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and unknowingly bought a fake. It was a really high quality fake though and took a ton of research to figure it out. But yeah...major regret and I now know what to look for! Also learned that Chanel fragrances are the number copied fragrance so beware of fakes out there and buy from reputable retailers only. Lesson learned!
Yes - agreed! Club de Nuit is different to me, too, but agreed it’s beautiful!
I’m sorry you bought a fake! That is such a yucky feeling, I’ve been there (with a Chanel too). The good news is we won’t fall victim to that again (well - I might’ve with a Trussardi, but I still don’t know for sure - and hope it’s not). Thanks for your comment - sorry you had to deal with that! 🤗

Thank you for this video! 😁 Appreciate you comparing these fragrances because I've been wondering about Armaf Club de Nuit. I really like the smell of Coco Mademoiselle (and also Chance), but something in Chanel fragrances makes me sneeze, so I've been trying to find something similar that won't make me sneeze. It's such a shame because the Chanel bottles are gorgeous, but I must be allergic to an ingredient that Chanel uses in their fragrances.
I agree with you on Fructus Virginis. The opening is noticeably different than Lost Cherry, but the drydown is nearly identical. I found the opening of Fructus Virginis to smell more sharp, somewhat like cherry car air freshener. Not that that's a bad thing per se, but it is different than the opening of Lost Cherry. I eventually caved in and bought Lost Cherry, but in the travel size since that's the only size I can afford 😂 I'll have to check out the Cosmetics Company Store!

I have a feeling you might have trouble with the Club de Nuit, too, if Coco Mademoiselle makes you sneeze. Both do that to me, but the good news is that it only lasts like 10 min. 🤣🤣

And yup, I eventually gave in and bought Lost Cherry - it's so good! 🥰 I'm not opposed to dupes and actually enjoy Interplay Extrait, the Alexandria dupe for BR540 Extrait. Again, I notice a difference in the opening, but the drydown is nearly identical to BR540 Extrait. I guess the opening is the hardest part to nail! I'm curious about Alexandria Vanille Doree, which is a dupe for Spiritueuse Double Vanille. Have you tried that one?
@@leeyah87 I agree with Interplay Extrait and it satisfies any craving I had to buy the BR540 Extrait. I also have Vanilla Doree and I like it. It’s similar to Spiritueusse Double Vanille, but this is an example where I just felt compelled to buy the original. Vanilla Doree just didn’t capture the booziness/smoothness that comes through in SDV, in my humble opinion. I got it from Neiman Marcus at $50 off during the holiday season, which was nice!

Interestingly enough sometimes the big designers take inspiration from these smaller houses. For instance, La Rive's Eternal Kiss is 100% a less complex version of Scandal. Guess which perfume came out first? Eternal Kiss was launched in 2000 and Scandal in 2017. A good 17 years difference.
So scandal is actually a dupe for eternal kiss
Wait, what?! 😆 I've heard that before, about the expensive houses duping the cheapies/dupe houses, but this is a great example. I have Eternal Kiss and after the 1st 30 seconds of major alcohol cloud it's a really nice honey fragrance. I like Police Shock-in-Scent more, it's smoother, deeper and longer lasting, but would certainly recommend the La Rive if you need to stay under a tenner instead of closer to 20 bucks (in my country). I don't have to buy the real deal for sure.
La Rive Destinee was also being said as YSL Libre’s dupe. But actually La Rive Destinee launched first in 2000 and YSL Libre was launched in 2019. 19 years differencen
I had a whole sample of angels share and used it up and loved it this winter. I went onto the DUA website and bought the dupe for angels share… Angelic elixir. It is exactly in my opinion the same as angels share.! Love it!! Especially for the colder months for me!!

Love the La Rive Fleur de Femme a lot… spray it over Armaf’s Eternia (which I also enjoy) to add a little more tonka. I have high ends and also love my Armaf, La Rive, and even Milton Loyd. Nice to have options❤️

Just ordered Sweet hope (Dior Hypnotic poison) and Fleur de femme (Dior Poison girl, my absolute fave!) I hope they really smell similar to the original, because I can't afford those as a student lol

@@gourmindy6449 they just arrived and I realized that Sweet hope smells like Fragluxe's Cuba brown EDT, which I love because my dad used to have it and it gives me nostalgia haha

I think it’s a fantastic alternative! I’m STILL debating buying the full bottle of Lost Cherry, or if I’ll buy a clone. I’d like to try DUAs version, as well as the Cherry Punk fragrance by Room 1015! So many options…but like you said, when I tested side by side, there were things I liked about the AF more than the original! 😊
I love poison girl edt however it doesn’t last at all not even an hour on my skin… i have Eternia which is similar without the ginger and citrus opening and lasts around 4 hrs.. curious of larive option🙂
Yep I agree with you. I have both, now, and feel like the longevity/performance on the La Rive is better. It might be a bit denser, but I think it’s good! 😊

I do! I bought it at the same time I got Club de Nuit and I’ll be honest, I’m not wild about the intense version. To be fair, I have only worn it once and the rose/oud type fragrances aren’t my favorite. But I can revisit it and give you my thoughts! I probably should revisit it because my preferences have changed!

Store near me had la rive perfumes and other cheap brands for 20% off from already cheap prices I saw fleur but it didn't have tester so I bought some other perfume and it was dishusting and is only good for spraying on trash now I need to go back and get the fleur.

How far can someone smell it. I want it to smell good but not in a IM WEARING PERFUME! Way is 3 sprays too much for la rive fleur de femme and taste of kiss or is it good. Is it too light or enough. Also how do u feel about layering it the la rive fleur de femme 3 sprays and 3 spray body spray is it too strong or good, I tried before and someone said what smells so good and they started sniffing people around them, they were like 1.5 arms length away maybe 2 so is that overwhelming or no
I would say both have a few feet scent bubble around you, and 3 sprays is perfect! I usually do one spray on each wrist and one just below my neck one the weekdays. On the weekends I may do an extra spray or two! 😊
