- Lamzu Thorn is pretty amazing. The only difference with the Fnatic collab and original Thorn is the colorway (according to Lamzu). This is my review of the mouse!

Excellent review as always Haus. Cant wait to see your top 5 video!
Glad you liked the mouse. Lamzu did amazing once again. And yes, great value with that included 4K dongle!
Great review. I've ordered the Lamzu Thorn X Fnatic and I can't wait to try it out. My old mouse is the Razer DeathAdder Essential.
I believe the 4k dongle is bundled with the mouse for this particular collab variant. The standard Thorn does not offer the dongle and is a separate purchase.
Yep!
Correct. Mine ended up at £99.99 for both, so you could go either way with which you choose to buy.
oh wow! now im more excited to get my pre order coming this end of october! having the 4k dongle is sick!
@@IIHydraIIfor me its cheaper to buy fnc's version, idk why maybe because I'm in the US and it's 99 USD but plus the tax and shipping its like 103. If you buy lamzu's its like 105 + shipping and tax
Man, waiting on restocks for this one in black. Tried going symmetrical for a month but found myself going back to the Outset AX for comfort.
Thanks for showing the opticals and ranking them. RAESHA was what I would have guessed they were using. This is one of the shapes I am more curious about, along with the new Viper v3. Good to see button wobble is okay.
Rizz Pad Xsoft my new main.
After using Zero Mid for a year I don’t know how I was ever accurate on it.
Rizz is a REAL control pad and in my opinion super comfortable.
I am currently using the gpx 2 and I would like to use something that's actually ergonomic. Already tried the dav3 and that's too high for me so I'm thinking this would be a good middle ground, and with the 4k dongle I believe it would be worth it.
What is the peak performance in the app? And do you keep motion sync on or off? Nice video. I felt that the outset AX made way too much palm contact and returneed. This mouse doesnt actually make contact on the backside for me. The grip I felt on my white copy I thought was just solid not great. I didnt think the Lamzu atlantis at all as far as grip. I wish the thorn was more like the ec3 but so far I've enjoyed it and the grip is irrelevant after a bit of gaming.
Just wanted to tell you how much I value your opinion :).
Over the years, you have remained consistent with your standards, and I've always been satisfied when trying out your recommendations.
Plus, with the measurements you do now, there's really no need for other opinions for me personally.
++ also you were always more of a CS player, which is an added benefit now that CS2 is out ;)
Got this yesterday in white. After 50+ mice I think I finally found my endgame (for awhile at least). This is like a combination of 2 of my favorite mice, the EC3-CW + Outset AX. The clicks, like haus says, is some of the best I've seen and especially from ones that use optical switches. The coating is like a mix of their chalky black + their smooth coatings, their best coating to date. Build quality is top notch, and I also like how they include a sticker for the bottom now, to cover most of the holes and prevent dust from getting in. This is their best mouse to date. That Fnatic colorway do be looking nice though, might have to get a 2nd. I have mine paired with my 4k dongle that came with my atlantis mini 4k. One good thing is that once you pair it, it stays paired with both. I can shut one off and turn on the other.
Also for click force, my gauge shows 54g from in line middle of the scroll wheel if anyone is interested.
hands size?
@@rickyreload 18.5x11
i had no problems with my black copy.. performs amazing!!
Are you reviewing the LA-1 once it comes out?
in number 1, as also share the same internals and other great characteristics, I would certainly add the deathadder v3 pro. meanwhile I'm also waiting for my thorn, I tested it and loved it, that I've ordered today, but I'll also be keeping my atlantis mini with also the 4kzh usb dongle, the endgame gear xm2w, and my best ones, the razers viper 2 pro (the viper v3 hiperspeed or so was lunchend today so I'll keep an eye for the possible v3pro as it has a new shape), the ergonomic deathadder v3 pro, and the contested but still imo top tier pro mice, the cobra pro. Nice video. I'll hope to catch more. Cheers!
I don't like the DAV3 Pro clicks as much as VV2Pro & VMSE, but I'd still place them into the top 4!
@@hausgaming fair enough. one uses what serves us better. not all mice are for all people, reason why we're starting to have again a plethora of possible good/great/top tier mice in all sort of shapes and sizes, but as I said, the user is the only one able to say which one(s) fit him best. Cheers!
great review , haus rizz med soft or extra soft ??
I don't need a new mouse but damn it looks so good, great review as always. Is the back hump as tall as the Outset AX or is it a bit less aggressive?
It's inbetween something like an EC2/3 and the AX. So not quite as aggressive as the AX but higher than the EC series.
@@Ricey20 Cool then I might cop one.
Soooo OUTSET AX Wireless is according to a reply to me from VAXEE, estimated release is around October but I'm very interested in the Thorn and I know you're a very big fan of outset ax so i'm not sure which one to choose, whilst i'd appreciate a slightly smaller outset ax but not just as big.
Great review.I don't like orange color, but i'm curious to try this mouse also if i have razer deathadder v3 that I’m finding myself very well for now but i want also to try a lamzu mouse
Not sure if to pick up this one or Deathadder v3 pro, been rocking with g403 for like 7 years now, the slam problem is my biggest concern as I tend to play lower sens. Pricing is in favor of thorn as it costs 110 euro with dongle and the dav3 pro is 120 + 50 for dongle
Had to get a new mouse, I’m currently use an EC2 wired and i want a wireless mouse what you will suggest between this and the Deathadder V3 Pro?
Can I ask what your go res is? :) native? Thank you for the video! All of these keep making me question what I want ahah
How would you compare it to the xtrfy M4?
Hand size is ~19/10 cm and i guess i have a claw grip/relaxed claw.
Ive been using the logitech g pro wireless (non superlight) for a while got myself the m4 to try out a different shape for cheap. I quite like it but the wire is a hazard because of my cats. I'm also curious about this mouse or the ambidextrous counterpart.
Hey quick question about the settings for the Thorn in the software.
Should I turn on Peak Performance? If yes, at what time?
I am really confused with this software hence the question xD
Would ur eccomend metal tape modding the switches since I hear a lot of people complain bout the mouses pre travel
Just bought this, upgrading from my original g pro. Old faithful has been good, hope i like this!
But i NEED that fnatic orange, very nice. looking forward to this and or the Xlite V3!
what do you think is the lightest and best quality mouse that is close to the shape of the g403/g703? I find the hump of the dav3 is not enough in the back like how I like the 403
Mice are an end game issue for me. I have had so many. I am currently on the hyper x wireless atm. Thonking this could be my next pick. Nothing has come close to the superlight for me. However this ticks alot of boxes.
HOLY Sh!t everything about this is incredible from the packaging to the color
What do you think about Ninjutso Sora 4k and their optical implementation
Hi there @hausgaming! One question.. does Thorn have as loud click as e.g. Pulsar X2 Bruce Lee? I can't stand that Optical implementation because of the fact that it sounds so loud and bit hollow. Ninjutso Sora 4K opticals are more than phenomenal when it comes to the sound. Would also like to know that how Xlite V3 switches compare to the Bruce Lee edition click sound.
I love my Lamzu Thorn so much ! I have 3 mice on my desk - DAV3 Pro, Fantech Helios II Pro and the Thorn is the one i use the most out of the 3 i have on my desk.
Does still working well?
Killed it again brother haus! great video
I can't seem to find the original lamzu review you did, how's the battery life?
i have a question, i want to buy this mouse but i read that is not possible to create different profile for different games, is that true?
Does it feel like a 703? I am looking for a new mouse
I definitely want one of those.
Ordered the regular one with a 4K dongle, can’t wait to try it 😁
Edit: It arrived today. I love it, fits my hand very well for both palm and claw (19x11). The sensor feels great so far. I only have 2 downsides from my few hours of use:
1. Battery life. Dropped around 30% from 4 hours use. Though it charges VERY quickly (50 > 100% in like 15 mins, maybe less).
2. The coating SUCKS in my opinion, even with dry hands it slipped a lot. However the grip tape that comes with the mouse is the best implementation of grip tape i've used so no complaints!
how about the coating compare the the atlantis?
I've had my (black) thorn for a few days now, and I'm very pleased with it, haven't noticed any quality issues with mine so far. My only gripe is the 2 day battery life @4khz, but it's not something that'll have any real effect on my use. I'm enjoying the shape over the typical deathadder-esque shape the current ergo landscape is filled with. The stock feet are _fine,_ but they do feel a little slow on AC+ to be honest, I might look into the optional glass skates for this.
if i prefer more palm contact, would the Thorn be better than Pulsar's Xlite V2?
Depends on what part of your palm, the Thorn is going to have contact with most of your bottom palm, but top side of palm is not touching the mouse at all for me.
X2H or this for relaxed claw 19x10 hands
I cant wait to order this
What is the best mouse right now for Apex?
are you saying you cant palm grip the mouse?
Can you give a update after the new firmware updates please? Looking to buy it with in this month
I have DAV3, using claw grip. Is it worth to buy this mouse instead?
no why would you upgrade a 150€ mouse
Razer viper v3 hyperspeed vid?
Hi, can you help me ? im 17/18 x 9 hand size, wrist gamer, some pincer claw and hybrid palm/fingertip grip, should i get a atlantis mini pro or a thorn ? Thanks!
Which mouse did you buy?
@@canermirac i have lamzu atlantis mini and now lamzu thorn, thorn its incredible, but i think the perfect size mouse for my hand and my grip its XTRFY M42, i love lamzu so im going to get one with the more smilar specs or just wait for a new one, i repeat thorn its really really god and confortable
This mouse has on board memory right? I don’t like having softwares open when competing
Yes everything is stored on-board the mouse itself. So it´s a set and forget.
wait so MS on the pulsar really causes that much delay? damn, when i get the 4k dongle i might turn off MS
That is their old X2 with CX MCUs. The new X2V2/X2H etc all have identical performance and the same components as LAMZU atm. Check my Pulsar X2H video.
How about 4k hz stability? Is it similar to lamzu atlantis/ og 4k?
It's the exact same my man!
Are the clicks better than Vaxee ones?
Nope
Well, after I saw your review I’ve decided to order it, the mouse wheel and the side buttons are not feeling so smooth and not so clicky, the battery life compare to the gpx 1 is awful, the mouse it self the shape etc is good and comfortable but other than that I would rate it 5/10. Before you review a product are you playing with it for a few days and then review it or after few hours? Cause it’s really important if you do give it a few days so the content will be genuine.
Every copy i´ve tried has super good clicky side buttons + smooth scrollwheels with good tactile bump. When it comes to the battery life the GPX 1 is using 1000hz pollingrate, this one up to 4000hz(and this takes it´s toll on battery life). If you lower the pollingrate to 1000Hz on the Thorn it will be almost identical in terms of battery life to the GPX 1. I would suggest 1000hz+motion-sync ON + 0 debounce + HP mode + Peak Performance box checked in the software and save it to the memory.
@@starcrowq3 you said very good staff appreciated, would be glad if you share your program screenshot or something to understand what you mean to
When you tested the Thorn's click latency, what key response value was set in its software? Did you turn Motion sync off at 1000Hz? What is the fastest Key Response value in the software? What should I set it to? The factory setting is 8ms.
I always use lowest debounce to test the click latency! I use MS on and off with the Thorn and 0ms is the fastest key response value, the lower the better!
@@hausgamingThank you for your reply. Is Motion Sync on or off better at 1000Hz?
@@hausgaming Lamzu just released a firmware update 1.22 for the thorn today that fixed the slam click issue. I can slam my mouse at 0ms key response time without it misclicking on me now in game and while browsing.
just one comment here Haus, why did they make us pay for the dongle if its free here?
i love this guys accent!😁
Hey haus, this isn’t a knock on your testing and i just wanted to know your opinion on the subject. If a mice does have slam click issues at the lowest debounce or 0 debounce and for slam clicking to go away normally is 2ms debounce, shouldn’t the latency test be done at the 2ms debounce then as practically the 0ms debounce can be stated as problematic and the average consumer would have to use 2ms regularly. Once again this isn’t a knock on how you test mice, just want to know your opinion on the matter
Hi, you can basically just add 1ms of latency per 1ms debounce increase. The slam click has happened to me only a few times in-game. So I'm using 0ms with he Thorn atm.
Dam you were not lying in Ropz chat when you said this is gonna be good.
The Thorn still isn't available in the UK
Lamzu and Pulsar use the exact same Optical Switches
Rizz mousepad review when!!
there's no differences other than the color? theres so many videos on the fnatic version that im starting to belive its somehow more different to the black/white versions
I've watched an embarrassing amount of mouse videos and I've never heard the term slam click. im guessing its the click actuating from slamming the mouse down?
Indeed, and Lamzu updated the firmware to include slamclick prevention since the mouse officially was released, and it´s working great.
this or dav3 pro?
The fact that they don't prevent slamclicking is good for minecraft players
will be saving up for this baby. though i will not need 4khz
Just received mine and i'm having issue with connectivity. Mouse keeps randomly freezing for about a second every now and then. Tried every port on my pc and tried different dongles too and nothing fixed. Can anyone help me?
One of the first firmwareupdates i think included a fix for this, have you checked their website?
I asked for the Thorn from LAMZU and they sent me this collab 😂. If you want this colorway, you can get the mouse through Fnatic's web shop here: fna.tc/thorn

I like it, but I can't stand the sound of opticals, so loud in comparison to the Atlantis fs
So the Thorn won't be good for palm? :( 19x10 hands
Imo no, the design is quite specific for claw! Relaxed claw will work for smallish hands!
Unless you have smaller hands, you're going to want to go with a DAV3 if you're looking for an ergo to palm. The Thorn is a perfect size for smaller hand palm grip.
@@DjNaste I've tried the Dav3 but I didn't like it at all. I'm currently palming a G Pro and used a G703 and MX518 before. These last 2 are my fav shapes tbh, but nothing comes close to these anymore.

4k isnt a great option unless you have a high end pc.
2k is alternatively the best of both worlds.
Aaaaa, fnatic sadge
Ugh. I've tried like 25different mice at this point, Thorn included. Nothing really helps me perform better than the superlight.
Out of all the top mice that came out in 2023 I'm still sticking with the Superlight. Not because I want to but because nothing else has provided better control. Razer Viper being a very close second but Superlight is still more comfortable due to being slightly thinner at the grip.
With that said, the thorn is the most comfortable ergo shape so far. It's just slightly too big tall for the control that I need. If you hate the EC shape like I do the Thorn is a great choice.
The coating feels like an egg, the weight feels like an egg, the clicks are crisp with a tad of pre travel. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10 for shape and 5/10 for everything else where as the GPX gets an 8/10 across the board.
I wish the GPX had comfort grooves and some RGB tbh. Or that they'd come out with a g703 superlight or G502/Basilisk superlight. So far nothing really competes. Most Ambi mice are too small for me to claw. HyperX haste 2 has the best coating and clicks of any mouse I've tried but it's too small for me. Would be fucking perfect if I had 18cm hands.

same as logitech g pro
That slam click is a BIG RECALL PROBLEM. I would never recommend such a mouse until that is solved.
That is an issue with most mice, only RAZER, Logitech and VAXEE have a solution for it. It only happens with quite a bit of force, so does not trigger necessarily for everyone.
