You need to get your story straight. Mongolia was never been colonized by China!!! Qing dynasty was also nomadic tribe to the east, which colonized China. Qing dynasty originated from the present day Manchuria.
Thank you for your input @@enkh

Mongolia was one of my absolute favorite trips ever. The landscape is amazing, the food is actually really good (NOTHING like Lamb "buuz" on a cold morning), and the people are really sweet. Ulaan Baatar is such a unique and strange city.

@@Worldlywonder_official I’m from there! I want to go back. ❤️

Visit Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬, central Asia
It’s poor AF, and a poorly managed country with deteriorating pastures causing sand storms that pollute its southern neighbors. Genghis Khan, the royal family and the the Mongol culture are rooted in Inner Mongolia, has nothing to do with today’s Outer Mongolia. Today’s Outer Mongolia is merely a Russian client state that serves as a buffer zone between the two giants. It’s destined to be poor due to the geopolitical role it takes on or I should say given. It’s given some positive spins recently in western media because it started to lean towards America a bit after years of neglect by the Russians and the potential anti China role it could play in the future
I never visited Mongolia, but I was fortunate to go to the Mongolian Culture Village in Namyangju, South Korea. I saw incredible horseback riding and archery demonstrations, watched beautiful native dance and listened to the traditional throat singing. I was also able to sample Mongolian food. It’s no substitute for visiting Mongolia, but I truly enjoyed each visit to the Village.

I want to visit Mongolia in the future.
@Pccpy👍
Fun fact. The 400th episode of Wise Traditions podcast was about the Mongolian traditional diet and lifestyle.

Mongolia is my favourite country that I've visited so far. I've been twice: the first time was on the trans-Siberian from Putinia to Ulaanbaatar and the second time was a 10 day holiday in UB and at a ger camp near Tsetserleg.
That sounds incredible! @janellek21, Traveling on the trans-Siberian must have been an unforgettable experience. Mongolia is truly a unique and beautiful country.
@@Worldlywonder_official It was. Traveling through Putinia wasn't the best experience (beautiful country, unfriendly people), but Mongolia was amazing.
I heard that also there is a link to Ulaanbaatar from Gorbachevia!
Hilow am from Philippines
@@janellek21Does the name "Putinia" comes from the current Russia's president Vladimir putin? Just curious.
I’ve had my DNA tested and this is where my ancestors come from Mongolia and Siberia I live in the uk 🇬🇧 and thought I was all British it fascinating to know where it all started from ❤
@dianataylor7373👍
there was a story that a white American is a direct descendant of Chinggis Khan.
Probably Sarmatian. Sarmatians and Scythians migrated from Mongolia into Persia and the Caucasus. They were expert horsemen and archers and the Roman Empire used them as mercenaries all over the empire. In the 300s, a large group of Sarmatians in Brittania rebelled against Roman rule and joined the local Britons to help gain their independence. There is legend that King Arthur's knights were Sarmatian warlords.
@@BlueSkyCountry 👍
The knights were conquered by the Mongol Horde. You are the product of conquest.

My grandmom used to tell a story about Hmong/ Mong. My grandmom said my great great grandfater were from Mongolia to China, from China to Laos, then from Laos to the USA. My grandmom told me a story about Mongolia, the word Mongolia was a girl's name.

Sorry, your grandmother had a false interpretation of the name
Actually, A tribe united Mongol empire's land had name Onongol. Word Onongol became Mongol. Mongolia is the English version very simple

Qing Dynasty was not China and it was whole independent nation. Some of mongolians also do not know this even if we study in history class. Always remember we have never been under the China.

Great documentary for a proud nation and an amazing land.
That horse is a zippra without stripes it is a very close relative to a donkey more than that to a horse.
@am_ma Thank you for your insightful comment! We're glad you enjoyed the documentary. It's fascinating to learn about the close relationship between the zippra and the donkey.
We are central asian country not east asian.
I'm in ulaanbataar as expat, im planning to visit country side of Mongolia this coming spring and summer. But i already visited some of it's historical sites and it's very fascinating.

All those buildings there were built differently - built for urban warfare, it got many hidden rooms and I was there.

As if Anglo Indians here, you're a Mongolia Russian! As a historian I've a soft corner on your country and the people therein!
Still it's unclear that how gravitational balance is working in this planet and others across the universe in the physics as well as astro physics and how Genghis Khan learned warfare horses riding gravitational balanced arrowing against the enmity. In those days it was a new technique and no evidence whether Genghis Khan learned it one 5 morning or how he gained. In a warfare, he didn't kill numerous but many died automatically by his technique what others couldn't defend and offend against him.
It's an autograph on your request!
Best wishes for your silk road!
