- Accidents happen! We bought this thinking it would be a super easy fix! After the boat arrived we realized we had some serious issues on our hands. This project was something we were planning on doing on the side but turns out its pretty freaking epic. Enjoy this start to finish rebuild! Thanks For Watching!!!

I LOVED the joy on Pops face during his ride on the new boat
They have a bigger boat they go out on . This is to get people excited the way Simon is Biggin up everything. They've already looked over the boat. This is what pays for the boat.
Nothing wrong with switching it up every now and then. Especially if it keeps you guys motivated and happy, that just makes for fun videos.

Love the boat content! Grab power boat and redo it! Also your dad looked so happy on the boat! Love him in the videos
Change the impeller and lower unit oil ASAP.
So glad that you guys were able to create a business and have your dad be able to retire the truck and work with you guys. I lost my dad a couple years ago and this is so cool that you get to be with him full time. I really hope you guys realize how lucky you are.
I was thinking the same… lost my Dad 3 years ago and would have loved to spend quality time like this with him…
Those are trim tabs on your stern. They will keep the boat riding level when at speed if your boat isn’t balanced, and they also help your boat get up on plane faster. 🤙🏼
I'm surprised, with the boats they've owned and the high end boat they currently own, they didn't know those were the trim tabs.
@@proudvirginian they know nothing about everything they do, uninterested in learning before they try things. Hopefully they dont get themselves killed but at this rate of trying stuff before knowing anything its not likely to last. Talking about going far out on the ocean fishing and knowing nothing about how to use the boat and its parts, thats a great recipe for disaster.

Glad to see Elezar finishing out an episode. That hasn't been done in a while. Looks like everyone had a blast doing the video, especially Pops!
It's so cool to see how yall are with your dad... thats how me and my father and brothers were always building something or working on something for someone or for ourselves... he had a stroke back in 2013 and never was right after the stroke and then he passed away in 2020 and I miss him every day and seeing yalls videos with you dad reminds me of him every time... Cherish every moment with him and with each other....
Lost my dad in 2020 also. He had a stroke and wasn't the same after. Slowly went down hill from there.
My last boat was a Blue Wave. 18' 115hp center console. Blue Wave is a very sought after boat, it rates up there with your high end boats. The are designed very well with live wells, dry storage, seating, and all what true anglers need. Yours is truly a marvel, you will enjoy it for many years to come. Just remember, the boat, trailer, and most of all motor needs to be maintained, and if possible, keep it indoors. Congrats on a great fishing boat. Be careful, and have fun!

Hi guys! At 07:19 you are wondering about the "flaps" on your new boat - it is a Lenco Electro-hydrolic trim tabs that makes the boat not lean if it's different weight on either side of the boat, check out auto trim tabs by Mente Marine - just set it once and it will take it from there- (don't have anything to do with the company, just a happy user)
Keep up the good work!
Best regards
Hans from Stockholm Sweden
I came to the comments for your comment lol thanks you 🙏
I own a company that does fibreglass and gelcoat repair for the marine industry. That hole means the structure of the boat is compromised in the localized area. You shouldn’t have epoxied it. The gelcoat around that area needs to be removed, the compromised fibreglass then needs to be chopped out and I’d personally repair it with structural woven fibreglass mat. After that, the area needs to be blocked out properly, color matched to the black color on the hull, re-gelcoated, blocked again, wet sanded, polished and waxed. Furthermore, I’d rough up the bilge and spray some gelcoat in there as well to protect from moisture.
All areas that have exposed fibreglass, need new gelcoat. Furthermore, if you have epoxied that hole without drying the moisture that has soaked into the fibreglass, you run risk of causing osmosis, which is when moisture gets trapped between the fibreglass and gelcoat and eventually eats the fibreglass, delaminates the gelcoat from the fibreglass and creates large bubbles in the gelcoat. Those bubbles of gelcoat then chip off, exposing more fibreglass to moisture and will spread throughout the entire boat, deeming it structurally compromised and worthless.
I’d also have a look at what that keel plate is doing on the hull at bow of the boat. I’d be questioning why it’s there. There are only two reasons if it isn’t from factory. 1. Someone was trying to prevent damage to the keel by hitting rocks or sand bars 2. Someone has damaged the keel and was trying to keep it from happening again (in that case, rip it off and figure out if there is any damage that may cause a bigger problem).
There’s a reason that boat was a write off. I would’ve have tackled it because it doesn’t cost me much to fix, but I do charge a lot, even though my prices are on the cheaper side of things. I’m up here in southern Ontario, Canada and my price would be between $5,000 and $7,000 CAD depending on the extent of the damage. A lot of shops won’t offer close to that quote because of the liability.
Get the fiberglass professionally done if your going in the salt water and fit a water separator . Most of all get a cover as it's a nice boat . My boat is a runabout and been covered since 2007 and still looks like new . Well Done on that buy! Cheers mate from Australia 🇦🇺 👌 👍

@FREE GOONSQUAD SCAM
That's a bay boat...not a deep sea boat...Still super desirable though. And you are correct, that boat, being only a few years old, with those low hours would list for at LEAST $60-65k in today's boat market.
Yeah i was thinking the seats seemed high above the center of gravity, seems perfect to keep around lake country, wouldn't take it in the ocean unless it's a flat day.
Yep. NOT a boat for the ocean. Probably spent time in the Tampa bay flats. Great boat for that.
Personally I just like seeing you boys do fun stuff and explain what you're doing and how you're doing it. I learn a lot and that's awesome so please film as much as possible even if it's the small things.🙂
Dear Bros,
This fishing boat looks really awesome and with the V8 outboard engine it’s running insane over the lake where you’ve tested the boat. Wish you lots of success with all your on going projects and send you love from the Netherlands
Those rear flaps are called trim tabs. They help push the boat on to plane to make it fly across the water. You start off with them down. Once the boat gets on plane you raise them up and the boat will scream across the water
I was worried they didn’t know what the tabs were. Don’t they already have a wakeboarding boat?
to trim the boat left to right. If u have more weight to one side u can trim the one trim tab to level it out. To raise and lower the bow u just trim the engine instead of using the trim tabs. The tabs cause drag where trimming the engine just changes the angle of the prop
@@davidmasseria8687 it’s mostly to trim the boat to get on plane! (or on a wakeboard board, to plow a big wake)
@@rjm789 if the engine has trim. It’s more efficient to use the engine trim to get on plane. Not the tabs. If the engine can’t trim like a V drive boat. Then yea trim tabs would be used to get on plane quicker. But with an outboard that can trim. Trimming the engine is more efficient.

you guys are so genuine. i love to hear your newb fishing plans and hope to see you out there.
Genuine? Lol😂
They were having dog's ears cut back and tail removed in order to get that "aggressive look" like it was a car!!
99.9% of the viewers told them it was an awful thing to do and so they said they wouldn't, specifically the comment they made was "floppy ears it is". A year later, and lo and behold, they went and did it anyway. Basically they kept him out of all the videos because they didn't want people to know that not only had they gone back on their word, but they'd surgically mutilated their animal for aesthetic purposes. In addition to that they mentioned he'd had some "health issues" which was super vague and that's why they'd kept him off camera which was either A. Bullshit or B. Directly related to the surgery (possibly nerve damage).
I admired these two for their good attitudes and the hard work they did to build their channel, but that went down the toilet the minute I saw what they had done to that poor puppy. so I unsubbed.
And you're calling these guys are genuine?

@@automotivationz at least they tried and I don't blame them personally

You need to get the trailer set up for that boat, hint: The back of the boat should be close to the back of the trailer. The bunks (boards) should not be hanging off the back and the nose of the boat should be high enough to miss the trailer in front. The bowsprit that catches the front of the boat needs to go forward and the bunks (boards) need to come up enough to allow it to clear the trailer.
Where are your tie downs? You need to secure the boat to the trailer. If your bowsprit rope broke you could drop the boat on the highway. If you hit something with the truck, the boat will plow right through the bowsprit and join you in the truck. It happens! Learn how the trim tabs work. They will give you best ride in chop and best speed when it's slick. Enjoy.
Rock solid advice!
Im so glad you guys are enjoying your new toy and sharing the experience with your dad. Priceless times you guys
The main reason I started watching you guys is from a boat build like 4 years ago. We definitely wanna see a whole build series on it.

Certainly you guys know how awesome this is. You guys are about to have the an absolute blast, great boat, wonderful prop. Yes Jack plate bad ass very cool
Also trim tabs. When a fat girl gets on one side of the boat you can level the boat*
Just got my package in the mail from u guys today. All high quality stuff! Happy u guys made a move to the water, fishings great! I love it! Great episode!
"Accidentally" Yeah right! 😂😂 We know you guys have a boat addiction! 😂😂
Oops I got cashiers check for a 100K boat we never use lol
Those hydraulics on the stern are (or at least what i always call them) trim tabs. They are used to straighten the boat when it is listing due to offcenter weight in the boat such as having too many people on one side.
Or planting them down to lower the bow / to make the boat ride better in chop
The back of the boat is called the "transom".
This is called transom plates. Needed to adjust the trim (so that the boat does not dolphin) if there are not enough engine adjustments
Might have to explain to them now what the stern is. 😂

Yikes
We need more videos like this. You guys enjoying the builds. Don’t know why you don’t do this more often.
Look into a water sep filter for the boat, It’s super helpful. I’d go as far to say it should be standard on all boats. You had an alarm when you started the boat, always listen for alarms that was probably telling you there was water in the fuel.
You also need to look at changing that impeller it wasn’t pumping water great. Could be your water pressure off the hose also. It should literally spray out not just trickle.
The expression on pops in the boat is awesome! 😄👍

The look on Elezars face when backing it off the trailer is great. Pure joy.
Congrats on the purchase. Outboard motors are very technical. I know it's only the beginning of Summer, but get that mobile mechanic back to help you Winterize it in the Fall. Very important to Winterize an outboard properly. Have fun this Summer!!
Congrats. Beautiful boat. Can't wait to see the end result. Glad you found the remote for the "Trolling" motor. A couple helpful tips.
Star Tron Enzyme fuel treatment. Get some. Walmart carries it here in MN. It'll flush any remaining water in the tank and keep it running great. Long story but, a complete stranger dumped half a bottle of this into the tank when our motor wouldn't stay running at the boat launch. Cleared up in minutes. Been using it ever since.
Avoid ethanol fuel. Not always possible, and expensive. Ethanol will attract moisture when stored. Don't let it sit for long periods. If so, fill the tank to the top and add the appropriate amount of fuel treatment. We have 3 boats that will sit for 4-5 months during winter. All of them fire right up and purr like a kitten in the spring since we started doing this 5 or 6 years ago.
Can't tell you how many times we had problems. How many tanks we syphoned with water in them. Even tried draining them in the fall. Inboard tanks are almost impossible to get everything out. It's the best solution we've come up with so far. Everyone we've told thanks us. Hope it helps others.
Try to adjust the crank in the front of the boat forward before you adjust the bunks. That crank or winch in the front of the boat will move forward and you should be able to move the boat forward a few feet. It just unbolts from the bottom and you re attach it closer to the tongue
Yeah looks to be sitting a bit far back on the trailer to me
