New Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AEFF00018
The fuel tank pressure sensor feeds data about pressure inside the fuel tank to the EVAP system to determine if there are evaporative leaks in the system. A bad sensor will most likely trigger a check engine light for the EVAP system. This video shows you how to install a new fuel tank pressure sensor in your 2000-2006 GMC Yukon.

I'll be doing this on a Tahoe, I might as well change the whole fuel pump.

You can also unscrew the bolts from the driver's side holding the bed on and only loosen on the passenger side then hinge the bed. A 2x4 cut to size will work great to hold it up. Imo this is easier than dropping the tank.

I have the same code on my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 sl W/4.8L V-8... When I bought it, on day 1 I had the code read and was recommended to get a new gas cap. I was told that that should solve the issue.... Bought a new cap and nothing changed whatsoever.... Now I have to run the hawg through D.E.Q. and that code is causing me to fail immediately... Not sure where to go from there?.... ANY ADVICE ANYONE??? Will I have to drop the fuel tank in my rig also? OR will this be accessible in my rig without having to drop the fuel tank?

On my base 1600 Siverado, I can reach over the frame rail & get to the sensor without taking anything else loose. Maybe I just got lucky... this time!

$715, if everything goes well. I just got an estimate today. $1,600 if things don’t go well - break fuel lines when they lower the tank. Lots of labor.

I have a 2002 Silverado with the 8100 vortec. The fuel pressure sensor is not on top of the fuel pump like in your video. Searched entire top of tank and there is no fuel pressure sensor that I can see. Do you have an idea of where else it might be???

It's on top of the secondary tank under your spare tire. I had the same problem, discovered it after I cut an access hole in rear seat floorboard to get to the fuel pump and NO DANG SENSOR there.
