      @@mythicaldragon2260 it only hits 22m and you can't do much because if you remove the precharge they are useless. If you touch the range too much it competes with shotguns and other primaries like sidearms and subs which if you hit crits melts. High impact before the nerf were used for the damage and not the range. Old High impacts actually only got to 25m b4 being unable to one hit even with high impact reserves. Also main Ingredient is only good because of its perks. If you look at the other fusion plug one, it cant roll the really good consistency or stability perks like firmly planted or tap the trigger

      Yea this is an easy prediction tho considering void gets the first stasis subclass update. So all void classes will be used artificially more because of perceived “newness”.

    • @Jober7
      @Jober7 Před 2 lety +3

      I think even more of a problem than Bubble having a slow charge rate, is the fact that current void titan doesn't really get any kind of neutral game. The most they get is shoulder charge, which is suicidal as a melee ability and mediocre as a movement ability, and detonators, which are sub par and rarely relevant compared to the arc webs of top tree stormcaller. Top tree void has effectively no neutral game in its kit beyond its grenade and melee abilities.

Chaperone is basically the only counter but you need to be able to get in close enough to hit them first. The slower the player and game mode the more broken fusions are they're basically only held back because you need to have a 4/5 or 5/5 roll to make them usable. Super versatile: Can two burst a shotgunner at range while still beating the Main Ingredient charge time, can one burst like a traditional shotgun at close range with minor tracking, alternate firing mode can burst down a super as a last ditch effort, in air accuracy does not feel bad at all without icarus, etc.

    Believe it or not but even though Timelost Fatebringer is the hardest to get as a part of the 3 meta legendary 140s, it is the most reward imo. I've used an Adept Pali in pvp and have been using my timelost fate (I don't have the 30th anniversary pack) in comparison. Timelost feels better than any handcannon ive used except for my Max stability Rangefinder hawkmoon and the fact that Explosive Payload doesn't just give AoE damage with no dropoff, but it gives 5 times more flinch than High Caliber Rounds. Also I even did an average of the stat numbers of each gun's community shared opinion in what the definitive God roll is and the averages not counting Adept Icarus goes like this:
    - 1st Place with 67 average for Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed = Timelost Fatebringer
    - 2nd Place with 64.75 for Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed = Tied between Adept Palindrome & Eyasluna.
    Base Statswise, this is how it averages out:
    - 1st place with average of 57 for Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed = Eyasluna
    - 2nd place with an average of 55.75 per stat for Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed = Fatebringer
    - 3rd Place with an average of 55 per stat for Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed
    When you do look at their other stats, Eyasluna has base of 85 Aim Assistance because every sight on it adds 5 AA so there is no difference. Fatebringer is #2 at 84 AA but 1 is no huge deal for AA difference, and #3 is Adept Palindrome with Base of 79 AA. They all start with the same magazine size, Palindrome & Fate share the same Recoil at 98 with Eya behind at 96 which isn't a big deal. Overall I wouldn't one truly isn't better than the other except for Fatebringer for Dueling because it has Dueling capabilities that exceed that of all other handcannons thanks to Explosive Payload combined with Eye of the Storm. Palindrome can roll with Perks that can allow it to 2 crit 1 body at base because of High Impact Reserves which is something no one is expecting but you can quit literally reach the farthest ranges with Rangefinder & killing Wind with high range options for the mag, Barrel, and masterwork. Eyasluna is special considering its the only Kinetic to run Rangefinder + Kill Clip and has some unique synergies with other Perk combinations with exotics and subclasses. However, even with Rangefinder extending the Aim Assistance and Accuracy Cones, explosive Payload takes the cake alone to be the best because it never has dropoff for the explosion unless if you're hit by the splash of it and not the physical bullet.
    Overall, I think all of them are extremely good and powerful options and it's up to the user, their choice on their groll, and their preferred pairing for the slot. For me at least, Fatebringer is just everything I wanted. I don't even have the community God roll as mine has Corkscrew (equipped)/Smallbore, Tactical mag (equipped)/Alloy Magazine, Osmosis/Explosive Payload (equipped), and Kill Clip (equipped)/Firefly with a Handling MW. Once I obtain Adept Icarus Grip, my stats will be 63 Range, 73 Stability, 73 Handling, and 63 Reload Speed. 68 stability to 72 stability is the sweetspot for handcannons so this fits PERFECTLY.

    Shotgun kill numbers aren't a perfect indicator of usage because a lot of the time now you have to clean up with a melee, counting as a melee kill even when 80% of the damage was from the shotgun. Overall usage versus fusions and GLs is still way higher, but it's interesting how PvP content creators who have mained shotgun/HC for years will complain about fusions/GLs being 'too strong' or 'too easy to use' when they still have a fraction of the usage rate of shotguns.

    • @austynh1
      @austynh1 Před 2 lety +1

      Shotguns allow for more mobile play and are typically just flat out the more fun weapon to use playstyle wise. I'd rather use both my weapons fluidly than my fusion at mid range and my pulse at long range. I say this as a fighting lion main as well, but shotguns are just more fun for the majority of players.
      Fusions are a shitty thing to balance because what seperates a fusion from near broken and unusable is entirely the roll. High impact pulses are kinda similar in this idea. The charge time for anyone with half a brain is fairly negligible not counting high impacts and the ohko distance dominates anything that can't kill outside of 30 meters. High impact pulses with maxed stability also are essentially riskless .67 TTK primaries, while any other primary with comparable ttk requires very close range to achieve that.
      That's why if you check the stats of most pulse fusion players, they aren't really that great. The skill required mechanically isn't really there, and all they need is 5/5s on both weapons to succeed. That's why these weapons are called crutches, you don't need positioning just to be capable of aim and understanding your radar. It throws movement or anything else out the window.

    Awesome video drew. I've always felt that fusions were a little too strong in this meta for two reasons:
    1. In order to outplay a good fusion main, you are required to play at a much higher level with minimal room for error compared to the fusion user. Their charge time is faster than the majority of primary ttk so even if you land those first two shots of a 140 you may still lose.
    2. Due to their high range, high ease of use, and relatively low charge time many fusion mains are almost discouraged from using their primary weapons because primaries cover the same ranges (because most maps have smaller lanes like wormhaven) and actually main their fusion more than a shotgun ape will main their shotgun. You can see this in the data too on destiny tracker. While usage rate of fusions is lower than that of shotgun, the kill% of fusions is disproportionately high when compared to other specials (almost 2x it's usage while most specials are roughly 1:1 usage:kills)
    As for linear fusions: I hate those guns. You have to play at your absolute best to have a chance to outplay a good linear fusion user. They are ridiculously oppressive and have no flinch + a generous hit box. Both arbalest and Lorentz need more adjustment imo
    Excellent video tho, I love hearing your opinions

    Im personally happy to see fusions in the spotlight for a bit since they havent been relevant (at least on pc) for a hella long time. If they get nerfed I would prefer to see the nerf be making the range stat matter more. Make having low range more of a detriment. Right now fusions only care about stability and if they get punished more for having low range, that would put them in a better place. For example have damage dropoff start at 8m at 0 range, and start at 15m at 100

    I think it’s super interesting to see the data like this. My biggest takeaway was how unbalanced warlock subclass usage was compared to the other two classes. Top tree dawn is definitely super strong given the importance of movement but I worry that if it wasn’t strong they would be in a similar place as titans and we’d be seeing only hunters. This focus on speed seemingly also ties heavily into the prevalence of burst damage primaries (dmt and handcannon). In my experience, finishing off hunters, even when they’reout of position (esp with wormhusk), is way harder with full auto and burst fire weapons, which makes them a liability in trials.

In addition to that all other competitive hunter exotics are tied to dodge which most hunters either dont want to use to waste it or don’t want to use it generally because of the cooldown nerf. Its less of a problem with stompees and more of there being no other exotics that are worth using and the lack of hunter speed in the game.

    Axions are truly incredible right now.
    I played a couple of the best players on xbox this past weekend carry vs carry. Both on them on hunters. I used top tree void with an axion build. The amount of pressure it put on them to swap in and out with each other bc of health made putting them down immensely easier. As a result we came out on top. No doubt because of Axions bc they were a decent amount statistically better than my team and I.

    This break down on exotics in the middle really only emphasizes to me that the hard shifts in abilities really only killed some diversity in build crafting in pvp. We're only going to see further homogenized lists there until the neutral game exotics get nerfed. We're going back to D2 S4 in terms of meta, to be bold.
    By season 4, i meant that month between Y1 and Y2 where we had special weapons, but that's about it.

      I've been using it more lately as I don't like to just crutch meta and with 100 discipline and Kickstart/bomber mods I have a bolt or storm nearly ever engagement. And maps with lots of interior highly trafficked sightlines and choke points play into it even more due to less room for the enemy to egress.

    The snapshot into the meta is interesting as a piece of work though I have to ask, what do you hope to gather from this data in the long term? Say you gather this type of data for the next three weeks and the snapshots are all pretty much identical, what then? I ask because this is going to be a lot if you do it week by week, and since you are willing to do it, I assume you have a plan in mind for it. I guess what I'm really asking here is, is there a bigger picture that you wish to paint here?
