I was going to say that rust dont bother me too much. The skid plates and fuel tank cover are easy to replace. The zip ties on skid plate probably means the bolts were broken off during removal and they still in there. When I saw the cross support rusted and flaking, well that totally turned me off.

Glad we agree. It's not that the skid plate is hard to remedy, but that it's a sign of worse to come.
