1000-1500 for a large show, 100-500 for a smaller show is pretty standard.

Next year our whole family will be going to a drone show. We LOVE fireworks and the booms and explosions. That said, last year we went to our usual local Park, the firework show lasted 43 minutes. We waited for it after we were guided onto the grass, driving in, to park and watch. It was still light out and so many people were there trying to get a spot. It was disappointing to say the least. We went this year, and it was 30 minutes exactly. We spent more time to get out of the parking area they put us in, than watching actual fireworks. It's not worth the drive, the gas, and the wait. And they were not even spectacular like they used to be. I think we would have gotten more out of it, if they just put it all in a pile and set it on fire.
So, next year, drone show for us!!
We still have the old generation who still are not tired of the same old thing every July 4th these people got to learn to accept change. I’ll go see a drone light show in a heartbeat if I could over a fireworks show because there is no smoke contained in them and it’s something interesting unique and new

I drove in from outside of Austin last night after work to see this show. Guess what... it was done on July 3rd. Doh! What was I thinking?! 🎆 & Drones show are never on the actual holiday. Silly me. 😡
You missed it that’s what happened they did it the night before Independence Day and posted this on Independence Day. Maybe next year?🤷♂

Amazing but shame about the spinning camera not letting me see it from a ground view looking up.
There is usually a drone shooting the drone show, that's the moving camera you don't care for... Lots of people also shoot it from the ground perspective, so it shouldn't be hard to find a static camera version of the same show if you want to see it like you're standing there.
