    My problem is my screen porch was installed when the house built in 1963. Getting ready to replace the screen for the third time. So all the anchor screws into the concrete are rusted away. Being in Florida I worried that my flat roof might just lift off in a hurricane. Nice video by the way.

    Turn the music down. It doesn't need to play the entire video. It's fine to use in intro, and then when doing a "working on stuff" shot (in which we are watching, and you aren't talking). But it should mute or go very low volume when the man is talking. It's hard to hear him with the music blaring.

    The job turned out great. Quick question, do you need to seal the bottom so water doesn't seep in when it rains? What sealer woukd need to be used?

    Great job with the project. I especially like the picket rail idea. I agree with the other comments that the music overpowered your voice and was very distracting. Definitely get rid of that on future videos. Otherwise, very good.

    the music took away friom the talking, and the talking volume kept decreasing as he moved or turned away from the camera which made this very hard to follow,just poor audio,otherwise really cool

    Hello, I was told by a local contractor in the OKC metro that he will not install high UV solar block screen in opens as larger as 5’W x 6’H. Reason he gave is it’ll blowout in 50+ mph winds. I really want to complete my own screened patio project and use solar blocking screen. That west sun is killing me. Your take on this concern I now have of this type screen blowing out would be appreciated. Thx.

    • @srrtv6290
      @srrtv6290  Před 5 lety +1

      I have never had to replace any screen, because it blew out. He must be using a different type of screen framing system. There are several on the market.

      SR&RTV He did tend to push motorized screens. I began to suspect he was deterring my option of just screening-in the patio. I’m going to press with screening-in the area using the EZ materials sold at Home Depot and the Phifer 90 Suntex screen. I’m willing to consider other materials if you recommend. Thank you for the reply.

      @@garysprouse9890 If it's called EZ Screen that product is the worst out there and the guy may have been right concerning the screen and that product. Snap screen is way easier to install and will more that likely hold up the way you want it to. A homeowner just told me that her's that I installed just with stud 70 mile an hours winds.
