Hartung Family Farms is a farming operation out of Jackson and Clinton County Iowa, with our main farm located in Preston Iowa. We have around 2400 acres of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, rye, and oats as well as around 750 head of cattle. We have a wide range of International equipment from small tractors from the 1970s to newer large farm tractors!
The contents and opinions displayed on this channel are my opinions and do not represent the opinions of John Deere and Deere and Company
Love the fact that you got your dad involved. Also love the fact that he was willing. Great channel. Keep the content coming.
I think Case should be on more of your Videos . What a good young man
I hope that the farm continues as a farm. Happy Easter to Bud Man ,Ron, and your families!
Same to you!
Quick hitch for the bud man, guessed it!
Great Video!! Thanks for the price recap at the end
Any time!
Nice to see you had a fan recognize you guys
Love a good farm auction!!!
Us too!
I like seeing auctions but the auctions I don’t like to see are the ones ware the farmers are retiring
Wow....that guy sure had alot of 2wd tractors for some reason. Here in Canada all auctions are online and mostly timed auctions because of Covid
I am a auction junkie those prices are pretty good. 68000 for the 7230 is really a high price. Always fun to go.
Love watching auctions haven't actually been to one though hope the farmer that is selling all of this retired on his own free will
I would say. Stalk shredder and three point. Hitch
I can't believe the price on that old 450 Farmall. Might be worth fixing my dad's up after all! That equipment was clean though, good stuff.
I know!!! It was a great price for that thing
Pat bought a grain auger. I've been to alot of Steffes auctions in MN.
That is a steal on that 4430
Tractor tires all look pretty new.
Very good video thanks for the information about the action
No problem 👍
Good video Ron cant wait to se what you guys picked up.
Thanks 👍
I always like going farm auctions meet up farmers from the area and I have been caught with my hand up lol
hahaha I think we all have!
Nice equipment
Thanks 👍
Those are pretty good deals!
Awesome video great footage . can you go on line and get is some footage of the guns and ammo that would make a cool video ..
That would be cool but idk if I’ll be able to find it
Steffes group is from my home town here in North Dakota
Nice!!
cool video, thx for posting
You bet
That was fun.
Those bat wing brush cutters aint cheap.
No they are not
Wow they hade some nice macheanery another farmers life gone in one day .
That sounds like a good deal on that DMI ripper.
I think Pat bought the planter and may be one of the tractors.
Pat bought the planter and combine
Hey there Ron and the gang, just curious if that was all of the farms equipment do you have any idea of the total acres of the farm?? Also I think my Kubota is going to get a chrome stack. The tractor is nothing like what you showed from the auction, it's an M-4000 two wheel drive, straight 6 cyl non turbo. We plant corn and soy beans with it. Does everything we need to do and the best part is it's payed for. Take care and you and the Budman have a great Easter with all the families. Greg
You have a great Easter weekend as well! I am honestly not sure how big it was
Can we get an equipment tour of all you guys equipment that y’all have
Yes you can!!
Quick hitch for 3 point
I'm guessing Pat bought the NH T9 or the Case 7230 since you said something massive and probably another tillage implement!
Good guess
i was off by 15k on the combine. i thought 120k usually want combines with those hours you mentioned go for here. even cheaper i seen one go for 75k once idr the model but was a 2015-17 john deere series combine.
Not bad, that's pretty crazy haha
Farm auctions lately been setting records.
Yes they have been
@@HartungFamilyFarms i was in a auction in Tennessee and bought a 4640 with a new motor for 20k. i feel like i got lucky on that one
I’m guessing he bought that sunflower cultivator and that Landoll ripper
Hey Ron a sharp little ten year old gets within a couple thousand for the planter. That kid will be a wheeler dealer. Your dad liked the kid and he knew what you were doing out setting up your maps. And what day.
The bag of silage!!!!
3 point hitch or quick hitch
Was that all their equipment or did they bring some stuff in from other farms also? Had some really nice looking old John Deere tractors.
All his equipment
So Ron, what happens to the grain bins? Does the farmer rent them out? Or is the farmer retiring and selling the whole farm as well? Just wondering what the whole story is. Also, remember going to farm auctions in early 80s. Those were sad because they were foreclosures.
You will hear that in two videos from now:)
Grain cart and auger....
Case tractor u was in an a planter
Grain cart and an auger.
Very nice looking farm auction love all the chrome stacks
Thanks 👍

I was wondering if Greg was there in Iowa for his show.
He was not... that I know of haha
A hot dog and an order of cheesy fries.
I’m guessing the 3 point spreader
Case 340 and a grain augar.
Go check out our latest video to find out! Let’s just say you are close!
On the Case combine I guessed 150k.
I said 115,000 on the combine
7500 was a little too high for a Farmall 450.
Question; I notice there is quite alot of farm auctions going on, Do you know if there are young ,new farmers taking there place? Just wondering
Not as many as I would like there too be but there are a few younger farmers out there taking their spots
Smoke bar. Auger
Quick connect bale hauler
Skidsteer
I think quick hitch
He probably bought the combine and the land
2 augers for the new grain setup?
You’ll see soon
I think it’s a quick hitch to help the bud man hook up the new John Deere brush cutter
Fast hitch
Is that semi trailer where you pay after it’s done? I’ve always wondered how the financial part of auctions works obviously people don’t have 100k in their pockets so how do people do it, does places like steffe do financing or do you have to have some sort of financial backing already set before you go?
I know a lot of people have financing before they go but honestly I am not sure, and yes that trailer is where you go to pay
You either have the money upfront. Or most farm finance companies offer auction financing. You get financed for a money amount and then you can spend up to that.
Hey I love your video is there ever a chance you quit your job and farm full time
Never know but no immediate plans
Keep up the good work I am from Minnesota and love helping out on farms and you make my day every time you make a video
grain auger
What happens if u bid higher but then regret and dont wanna buy it? Just curious
As soon as that bid is up... you are locked in
Budman need to build big dog a pirch in the truck.
Did the bank forclose
Seed planter
The asking start bid, is that the estimated value based on other auctions?
Yeah I believe they appraise all the items before the auction
Inline hay trailer
You have swazi!!!!???
So what happens to the land?
You will see in Tuesday’s video
😀
Magnum
Standing right there, why not show the implements?
Why does farmer have so many multiples of the same tractor?
You need that pick up farmers drive trucks lol did you get a grain conveyor or auger
What the heck this is right on your farm. Right?
Our rented farm
Guessing you bought the planter and combine
Good guess!
They are getting out while they still have something to retire on
People don’t realize how much debt is out there’s
Oh for sure!
I’m gessing to T9 or magnum
Good guess, you'll see shortly
I’m really eager
off by 5000
John Deere X9? ;)
I wish
So, What did you buy?
You will find out soon
Ron your Dad told us what you guys were looking for on his way to the Auction and that played first so we knew
I swore I edited that out... dang it! haha
