Hi friends! In this video I'm opening up about some of the challenges I've faced with my channel recently after going viral a few months ago, and how I plan to overcome those challenges and win on CZcams in 2024.

I find the problem with people doing CZcams now is lack of strategy. They come up with ideas and upload them and post them straight away. They may be motivated for a couple months and may upload 40 videos in that time. 40 videos could be 40 or 20 weeks instead of 2/3 months. Batch and post consistently (and use a little bit of Famester to go popular easy), don't post everything straight away. Post it on the same day/time every week. This also helps avoid burn out...

It's so tempting to follow the money or the numbers, our egos are strong. But eventually People Pleasing will turn into burn out and anxiety.. I learned that from 20 yrs in business and wanted to shut it all down. I love seeing you staying true to yourself at such a young age not pressured by "success" but led by your heart

I was actually very grateful for your celebration of being multifaceted BUT i get wanting to narrow it down as well. Im pushing 500 subscribers but my main dilemma has been narrowing it down cause I'm multidimensional and don't like focusing on just one style of anything. Im into many things but I'm learning the algorithm and seeing how I can be well versed but also very well received and understood by the public eye. It's a journey, thanks for sharing girl. Still enjoy your content, please stay authentic!

I feel the same way. I think what we want to be is called a lifestyle creator so that people will get to know our personalities and not just specific thing that we’re good at

You gotta stick to what content sets your heart on fire when creating. Your viewers will be able to see what truly makes you happy. I’ve been looking for more evergreen content ideas for 2024. This year was my first year of real consistency. While I’m growing slowly, I’m learning a lot.

They've also got to make the algorithm better. Obssessive focus is NOT how people think. And the algorithm should be able to incorporate more diverse interests.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my CZcams channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,738 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@kamillahrae Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my CZcams channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a CZcamsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this CZcams thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! this is so real! my college decisions reaction video went viral and i do not care at all about making college admissions content... the fall was so discouraging but just like you I'm planning to come back next year!

I totally understand starting over. Staring December '23, I am on my 3rd attempt, but THIS time is different. It's so refreshing to hear what you have learned. You often hear that it only takes one video to get your channel to take off but knowing that video will determine your audience is incredibly insightful. Yeah it’s definitely had a big impact for my channel!
Ill say ive never been consistent and i love comedy, vlogging, challenges, reactions.... etc....and so my stuff has been all over the place. Im trying to keep the consistency and it took forever to find what I genuinely can do. Vlogging everyday life is the most efficient for me to do (I don't have money, time, resources, for other types I'd like to do to be consistent). Even the Eh Bee Family reacted to a video of mine....but it didn't get me anywhere....So hopefully within the next year that CZcams will push my stuff to people who enjoy boring vlogs but love watching others lives....as i do lol. I follow people just to watch them talk and do things at home. So I just need to stay consistent this time.
Going viral is kind of like making a number 1 hit song that everyone absolutely loves but then when you try to show everyone that you have other skills and interests they keep asking for the original content that made you successful.
On the other hand, as CZcams is also a business there has to be a level of consistency produced by the creator. For example, when you go to a burger restaurant, you would be disappointed if you asked for a triple cheeseburger then get given a vegan salad, similarly, people subscribe to a channel expecting certain video topics.
So the gist of it is, if you do become successful, make sure that you love the topic that makes you successful enough to be able to make all of your future content based on the same topic or a similar topic. Otherwise, you may end up in a box that you dislike and potentially get burnt out. Which explains why some big youtubers end up leaving the game or they start smaller channels to "be themselves".
I will say, Living Alone Diaries has been doing quite well with the algorithm recently ^-^

I think I found your channel through the viral video as well :) I had a video that was picked up by the algorithm last year, which was about sewing, and now I always feel guilt and fear people will unsubscribe when I don't post a sewing video lol. Good to hear your thoughts and how you stay true to yourself :)
Love love love your attitude and how everything is an opportunity to you! I discovered this same issue last year and felt boxed into this niche, but this year, I made a video I was really passionate about where I literally just wanted to get my stories out there. Turns out, my passion showed and that blew my channel up to how it is now, letting me create other similar videos I wanted to. Keep hope :)

Totally relate to what you shared in this video, Kamillah! Found myself in the same problem... stuck in a niche and then feeling bummed about other videos not getting a lot of views. My channel (with 50k subs) is going down in terms of views like you. But let's stick to what we're passionate about trust that it's going to work out in the end ❤

I had 36 subscribers last week. After having a TERRIBLE experience happen on my birthday, I decided to upload a random video the day after. I was literally crying trying to film the video, and it ended up getting 500+ views. I’m at the point where if CZcams loves me, great, but I just want to be a normal person that people can relate to. It would be great to have a bunch of subscribers eventually, but even if just one person watches one of my videos, I’m so thankful!

I really needed to see this. I started filming some of my days in esthetician school but what I didn’t realize is that it started to attract people who just wanted to see esthetics based videos. To me, that was only a part of my journey that I wanted to share but what I didn’t know is that the algorithm will definitely box you in! I’ve been contemplating starting completely over with a new channel but this video just made me consider resetting.

This is exactly why I started making videos on 1 thing (a niche) so for example I make videos on hunting for achievements in video games so the niche is achievement hunting which allows me to play any game I want because every single video game has achievements so if I have a video that mega blows up 1 day my channel won’t stagnate but it’ll actually thrive because the people who say that video are gonna want to see my other videos because they’re all in the same niche but it took me 10+ years of uploading videos on CZcams to learn this

I literally built a channel because of a video I made about the Joe Budden podcast and now all my content is garnered towards it. Even though I didn’t want my channel to be about that at all.
