The more accurate translation of sunny beach is actually sunny coast,not beach
It’s not “dated” it’s their culture, their way of living lol. I’ve had a really good experience there but heard some right stories. Very friendly, cheap cocktails and decent pizzas! I loved it. Enjoy!

No, the hotel room feels dated for Bulgarian standarts too. It is definitely dated, this design was popular in the early 2000s, late 90s here at the Bulgarian coast. Probably rooms haven't been renovated since then. It is dated, but doesn't mean it looks bad anyway, it's OK
We stayed at the same hotel,as you said family run and nice people,please visit the restaurant for your breakfast,it also has a nice pool.regards mark.
I remember going sunny beach in 2005. A pint was about 50p 2 litre of kamanitza was 33p !
Spent £200 for a week and lived like a king 😂
Try their Bulgarian stew. It's called kavarma (I think)
Weather was crap but it was a really good holiday.

A few tips if you like. Condor pub just across the main road from where you are. Absolutely superb and great prices. Staff and owner fantastic. If you want a restaurant Lapa Lapa ask anybody or look on Google maps again not far from you. The ownera sre called Ego and Milen. Tell them Andrew from Newcastle sent you. They are absolutely great.
Supermarket you want Mladost or Janets. Both not far from you. Best in Sunny Beach.

Sunny Beach does not no longer represent Bulgaria. Expensive. Go to the North to experience real beaches.

It's funny since if Brexit didn't happen you could've just used your own data plans, since there's no roaming fees in the EU anymore (actually I think it was introduced exactly sometime around Brexit hahah)

Bulgaria looks good so far, that sounds a pain with the internet not very helpful would stress me out to be honest but glad you found somewhere could upload the video though, least the hotel looks more quiet unlike in Tenerife where just come from, looks a lovely hotel I would be happy enough staying there I think, hope you have a lovely holiday, wish you luck with the internet situation ❤😊

Oddly enough, I was only wondering the other day how you manage to upload in countries/areas that seem they might have slow internet. Now that you have mentioned it on the actual video, I can understand that finding decent public wifi is a challenge all of it's own. I wonder if you manage to find anywhere with speeds comparable to back home.
It does look weird (but expected) to see signs offering Full English Breakfast and various other things in the middle of Bulgaria! And I never imagined they would have John Smiths (I'd probably stick to good old Guinness though myself)

Hi Dan and Mazzy, me and my husband went to sunny beach about 28 years ago, it was a nice place to go and dead cheap. Our hotel was awful, it didn't have a shower cubicle, just a hole in the floor. Anyway enjoy your holiday

We have always got our travelers cheques changed at the hotel reception . Ohh I love tomato crisps as well. You don’t see them often .
Soft drinks are more expensive than beer everywhere in Bulgaria. But 10 lev is still cheap it's only £4.84 for a large beer and a coke 😊
Stayed there for my daughters 18th she's now 35 .Great place. There gave us a private room. Have fun .the rooms have not changed at all
I think you have saved the best till last ticks all my boxes i watched Catherine Ryan and joe w. On you tube last night and it was very interesting showed a lot of interesting stuff i think you could easily spend a month there and not get bored. So nice to see you again have a great time ❤❤
