As pond water is pumped up through the Surge Filter the K+Media becomes a mechanical barrier that traps debris as it flows through. Waste particles remain trapped within the K+Media until they are dislodged and flushed away during the patented Air Clean Technology cleaning process.
The Surge Filter is easy to install and is simple and quick to clean, by way of Evolution Aqua’s patented Air Clean Technology. This unique air syphon design allows air to be drawn into the filter as it empties which causes the water to agitate, effectively cleaning the K+Media. Makes you wonder why the tempest is only £25 cheaper then this when this comes with a UV and much better fittings, going by this the tempest should be £150 max

Hiya can you tell me what fitting would screw into one of b the ball valves ? To allow 1.5 inch pressure pipe to fit?
Liking the new ball valves but a bit disappointed the unit has shrunk considerably and so has the amount of media (compared to the tempest)
Fair comment Daniel, we fitted 2 Tempest/eazypod combinations while waiting for the surge filters to arrive and are happy with them 👌
Wont the uv kill off any bio ?

how could you attach pressure pipe ?
the max flow rate of 3500lph is alot lower than a tempest so if using a ae 10000 pump how would you use the full power of the pump?
