A place meant for a young couple. For a senior like me, the bedroom is much too far away from the bathroom. Also, is burning wood the only method of heating this cottage?
Well done. But the ''exposed stone'' over the fire place is Disney stuff,common in log cabins in America to prevent fires. Naf in an Irish cottage. Perhaps the window frame would be better painted white or cream,or green ? But overall a very good job done.
Garden area is lovely. The house could likely be extended by accessing one of those garage/outbuildings via a connecting porch or similar. A shame they had to go with the high ceiling thingy thereby killing off the access to the roof as extra sleeping space. Typical example of so called enhancements being a waste of time ! I live in an A-frame house & I can't tell you how many times I've looked up there & thought about putting in a ceiling & getting more rooms - it was just a pointless 'design' fad ! A great location, love the privacy of this home.
