The reason McCardell is so open is because everyone was covering Keyshawn and even Joe Jurevicius got more coverage than Keenan. It was the same way in Jacksonville. Jimmy Smith was the big receiver who got all the press and McCardell was the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL. Defenses didn’t respect him because they rarely heard his name in the media.
Keenan was great in Jacksonville and caught a lot of Brunell’s catches, just like the way Brad Johnson always found him wide open. That’s why it was Keenan scoring two TDs in the super bowl. Keenan accounted for 2/3rds of the scoring on offense in that game. Alstott was the only other offensive player to score, all the rest was the defense who scored as much as the offense, putting up 21 points of their own. All other points in that game were scored by Gramatica. Keenan was one of the most valuable players of the team that season and still doesn’t get much credit for his contributions.

This man has NEVER recieved his due. Arm talent similar to rodgers. Football intelligence similar to brady/manning. He's a Bucs legend. NO discussion or debate. Go Bucs

@phonseng-hs6tp brady amd manning were the definition of game managers. You seem not to comprehend the difference in being SIMILAR to certain abilities compared to being that person. Smh reading comprehension is so lagging these days. Oh btw. He won a ring.....and this is MY opinion.

@@tempe1d LOL bro. I've been a fan since 1998. Go touch grass. He didn't win the team a ring. He was carried by one of the greatest defenses of all time.

What a time to be alive for a Bucs fan. I'd argue that season was more electrifying to watch than Brady's run in 2020. Both were awesome to watch though.

Brad Johnson was a pocket passer quarterback who loves throwing the ball in the air with his rocket arm.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

  • @GTAnativeInXboxAndPlayStation

One of the best QBs in Bucs history. Other than Brady and you gotta add Testaverde. Winston? Yeah, right.

Can you imagine if John Gruden would have checked his ego and allowed Johnson to play from the shotgun how great Johnson could have been for the Bucs!

Was really pissed when my vikings traded him; like most of our best players he got a well-deserved ring!

The Bull. Poor guy was run into the ground by Jon Gruden and his ego.
