Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Hudba
Led Zeppelin randomly dropping a whole album on youtube on some random Friday, we love to see it.
No fanfare. Nothing. Just boom, here it is. I would love to see the numbers behind this decision.

In the late 80s, I was a freshman in high school and started playing some of my dad’s vinyl. He died when I was 8. I spent the next 4 years engrossed in Zeppelin. About midway through college, I put it down as I had listened to it so much, I couldn’t anymore. I went down a lot of music rabbit holes in the following decade+, all kinds of directions. I would have never been that diverse of a music connoisseur had I not been prepared by the legends. Fast forward 30 years, and here I am again. Going all out. This time, I have teenagers and I’m sharing the love. Zeppelin is timeless, inexhaustible, deep, expansive, and a band for the ages. Sooo much love!
Мы взрослели под музыку Led Zeppelin
Right on, you nailed it. I saw them in 1969 in Toronto at the Rock Pile. It was incredible. They blew us all away.
love ya
I see you've posted here recently. I was wondering if you were still around since your profile has a link to myspace, which I didn't think anyone uses anymore, and it seems you don't.
I really wanted to say though you should consider making your videos private. There are creepy pedophiles online who look for those things.
I completely concurr to that, once upon a time in my life: same path!
No one has the vocal talent to unleash the passion of Rock & Roll like Robert Plant.
Page, Plant, Bonham and JPJ. These four formed the band that everyone else wanted to be ❤
They formed The Beatles!? Whoa...
They formed Black Sabbath? Whoooooa...
❤ Marcia, you are a Beautiful woman.
Zeppelin to me is stimulating and invigorating.
Even after nearly 55 years, the music STILL rocks! Led Zeppelin is a legend. I may be a '90s kid, but hearing songs from my parents' time is always far better than listening to today's music.
I was born in the 70s, but musical the 90s was me, in my early 20s. And I still go back to my parents music time, especially Led Zeppelin.
🤘🏻😁 yeah yeah yeah
Bless you man I'm a 60s baby and totally agree with you
You were raised really well and I'm so grateful to read your reply.

You ever heard of Thee Oh Sees, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Kikagaku Moyo, The Black Angels, Population II, The Murlocs, Ty Segall, The Dead Pirates, Stonefield, Frankie and The Witch Fingers, Hooveriii, Acid Dad, Psychadelic Porn Crumpets, Pipe-Eye, Beans, Amyl and the Sniffers, Tropical Fuck Storm, Fuzz, Goat, or even some bands like Monolord and Windhand? I will defend this modern golden age of rock we live in to my grave.

Listening to this in April 2024. Give me a break!!. I forgot how good they really were!. Spectacular!. 😊😊
✨ Na, im not.
But im still listening in June 2024!

I took a long break from zeppelin and this is my first time really listening to them again since may, I truly forgot what a great band they were, MY BAD😔
Since 1969 listening to Led Zeppelin .
I have heard this album in every way: starting on cassette tape, then vinyl, then CD, then Mp3, now on CZcams, the common thing in everything is that it remains a magnificently beautiful album.
@user-mf8hd9gp3d personally, whenever I listen to old albums from the cassette tapes I bought at the time, I find that the sound is magnificent.
@2022 hoy Vinyl,I think so!
🇺🇦🇬🇧🤝✌️
The vinyl precedes the 8-track cassette and cassette tapes.
@@algrand52 right, I was referring to the order of the music medium of how I bought this album over the years!
@@PrimitiveInTheExtreme You were smart to buy it on vinyl. Cassettes were convenient for taking music on the go in your car, but they basically sucked compared to vinyl.
Greatest rock band of all time.

No way..! Deep purple had the best studio album Machinehead and greatest live album of all time Made in japan. This is not even close.
ONE of the best
@@goblinlooter5972 Exactly...this is good..but Deep Purple always comes first, then zeppelin.
The first album by Led Zeppelin an absolute masterpiece. When I first heard it as a teenager, I could not get enough of hearing it. They were the evolution of rock n roll.
And a building block towards the eventual birth of metal music!
I jammed to this in the 70s, and still jam to it today.
What's not to love?? The best rock band ever ❤️
One of the greatest debut albums
For me the best ✌🏻🎸
Indeed
Was my undisputed #1first album , but then at 18yrs old in 78, I had to insert Boston and VH 1 in a 3 way tie and that still holds up, but LZ is no question the greatest Rock N Roll band of all time, and it's not even close.
I still have this album on my shelf, & play it often. Best concert!
It is THE
Pure Magic, Led Zeppelin blew me away since its very debut album of Jan of 69. The combination of Plant+Page+Bonham&PJ created the greatest SOUND of any Band in any music genre. Power,Contemplation, Sensitivity and Beauty are at the core of their songs.
For 1969, the use of synthesizer in this one is downright revolutionary, it's so well done
Was it a synthesizer? Perhaps a Mellotron? Which song(s)?
No synth on this.
Page had some unique sounds and excellent skills. This band interpreted the blues like no other band.
Good Times Bad Times has gotta be one of (if not) the best opening tracks of all time
I think a Hedley Grange dog would bark back at that....
@@tawpgk yessir
I think you are right.
I went through the bad times and now we are into the lifelong GOOD TIMES!!
What’s funny is I first had this on cassette - and for whatever reason side 1 of the cassette was side 2 of the album, and vice versa. And so until I later had the album, I always thought that ‘Your Time Is Gonna Come’ was the opener for Zeppelin’s debut lol. And actually, that would make ‘Dazed And Confused’ the last song of Zep 1 - which kinda makes more sense, right? Given how epic that song is?
@@DayTrooperGW Agreed. Your Time is Gonna Come is a masterpiece
Zeppelin Best Band of All Time!
Agreed!
The debut album that changed the whole scene of rock forever
overrated tbh the rest of their discog is better
@@shewolfcub3 it's not as good as led zeppelin IV or physical graffiti or others maybe. But this actually made an impact
The biggest 1, 2 punch in music history. Sonically, totally different. 1 is raw as hell. 2 shimmers in a magical way no one could even imagine yet create. Just blew everyone away. The rest is amazing as we all know, but a debut followed up in that way was mind-blowing.
@@timothyslaughter476 Debut isnt that good
@shewolfcub3 that's an opinion. In any event, those two albums set up one of the greatest runs any band has ever experienced in rock history. That's not an opinion.
... Thank You Led Zeppelin, for all good times and memories...!!!
🤙🏻
Cool jams, what else is there to do, peace out*
Looking back now older and wiser I now realize that this debut album by Led Zeppelin was ahead of it's time.
Nope, not really
Read the new book about them how they became and who they hung out with. The decade in a half of the !
I saw led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix both in the month of August 1969(I had just turned 14)later I saw the stones live but nothing compares to the electricity that led Zeppelin would bring out to the stage.
Happy 55th to arguably the best rock and roll debut of all time!
(1.12.1969-1.12.2024)
Nothing beats the first album’s raw, authentic sound (not to take away from any other album, this one just stands out to me) Just 4 young dudes tryna make it and playing like their lives depended on it. Will always be my favorite Zeppelin album😎
You Shook Me was my first song when I was 8. Changed my life forever.
Best band. Best album. Fact
This is.....their finest!
@deadringerthegame cat. You Shook Me reminds me of a comment about LZ attributed to Keith Richards - stripper band. : )
its overrated
I probably own about a dozen versions and formats of this album, but this is still a very pleasant surprise. Not only is it free, but watching the disk spin on a screen while listening is basically another format. Led Zeppelin will never cease to amaze.
Dazed and confused. First baseline I ever learned. 😎👍
Plant’s young voice is unique. A kid with god-level vocal chords.
This music is just as relevant in some of our lives today as it was back when it was produced. GOD bless you Led Zeppelin. ✌️
This album stands the test of time
I was a teenager in the 60's, before I got drafted for military service. Led Zeppelin was one of my favs, along side The Cream, Grateful Dead, and a few others.

One of the greatest rock bands of all times.
Not one, THE
Led Zeppelin always makes me cry. Don't ask me why. I should state that I fell in love with LedZep in 1969 when I bought their 2nd album.
LZ 2 was the first album I bought and the first big concert I went to. I was in high school. Go Raiders, Class of '71! Second album was LZ 1. Third was Mountain by Leslie West. Fourth was Jethro Tull "Benefit."
@@peterpandemonium3336 For me it's Jethro Tull "Aqualung" with a side order of Gentle Giant.
@@peterpandemonium3336 great choices! I'm going to be 58 in April. My older brother was 13 in 1969, so I can remember hearing him play LZ since I was four! Then I really got into music at 12, Blue Oyster Cult and Boston.
Unbeatable. Forever. Raw voice of Plant combined with the creativity of Page and JPJ, complemented by Bonham´s iconic drumming.
I just bought this LP from a garage sale. With all its pops, skipping and scratches, it sounds amazing. By the way, I love the visual effect on the LP label for each song transition.
One of the rare albums that gets better and better the more you listen to it!
FOREVER my FAVORITE band of all time. I distinctly remember humming “Good Times Bad Times” at my desk in first grade in inner-city Detroit, Michigan (this would’ve been approximately 1979; I was 6 six years old). They were Gods to me. And their music still is the stuff of myths and legends, especially my faves “Whole Lotta Love,” “Ramble On,” “That’s The Way,” “Black Dog,” “Over the Hills and Far Away,” “The Song Remains The Same,” “Bron-Yr-Aur,” “In My Time of Dying,” “Nobody’s Fault But Mine,” “In The Evening,” Travelling Riverside Blues, “Hey Hey What Can I Do,” and my all-timer, “When The Levee Breaks” (but believe me, at least half of each album are faves). Every single member was brilliant as a musician, and as a guitar player I wouldn’t be one had it not been for James Patrick “Jimmy” Page. Their music will live on FOREVER!
Led Zeppelin - лучшая группа на планете!!!
The music of Led Zeppelin, known in adolescence, continues to give me energy and interest that so much new music cannot give me. I believe without a doubt that into adulthood one carries with him what he loved in his youth,
Iconic album.

THANK YOU, Led Zeppelin!!! Thank you so much for making this old man feel young once again!
I have always been ASTOUNDED how Led Zeppelin arrived FULLY formed. From the first five seconds of Good Times Bad Times... they are Led Zeppelin. No finding their way, no searching for a sound. It arrives, fully formed, on the first album, recorded in no time with no resources. Like some kind of elemental emanation.
Righteous man...
Page and Bonham were studio pros since 64'.
You meant JPJ
They had only been together a short time, but remember they all said that after the first track they ever played together, they looked at each other and knew it was magic.
When bonzo at the beginning played lots of rolls. and Jimmy Page did not care for it much Peter Grant took Bonham aside and and said
see that man Jimmy page. You do what exactly what he says or your FUCKING out of the band!!!!!
even after 54 years led zep's songs continue with their young and striking beat. It's a shame I couldn't have accompanied them from the beginning..., but I'll always continue to love them, long live Led!! 🎸💥

Greatest rock album ever recorded
Music brings you back to haunting times in the past - in the summer of 1971, I was in the US Army stationed in Ubon, Thailand and living in the Siam Hotel. I had this album on a cassette tape. I was more into Jimi Hendrix and really did not appreciate the artistry of Led Zeppelin at that time. I do now in 2024.
Jimi is a worthy hold on one's attention, and he was definitely overwhelming, like Zeus throwing thunderbolts. Led Zeppelin was atmospheric at the time but now, with how Hendrix stretched our ears to virtuosity, spatially, poetry, new rhythms, we come back the wiser to reevaluate the Leds. They are superb.
