TN07 SFP-102 on DXpedition | Ham Radio Antenna Setup and Operation

This is a clip from my video I recorded in 2016 while on DXpedition to Costa Rica. The TN07 SFP-102 telescoping flagpole antenna is easily portable and makes for a great antenna to setup in the field. In this video I show the antenna parts, the setup and SWR and do some operating from Costa Rica on this great antenna.

I have successfully used this antenna for POTA activations on 20 and 40-meters. And TN07 has the most awesome customer service! I needed a replacement part that I damaged and they sent it FedEx, no cost!

I run the same antenna on my motorhome. I have contacted most of the states Europe and Africa. It is an excellent mobile antenna. I'm running an FT-991A with 2 radials on the antenna. Set the antenna up screw it in to the radio and it just works.

Thanks for the video- interesting antenna concept. But I went to their website (url in this video's description): it provides absolutely no information about what kind of antenna this is. Is it a shortened/inductance loaded or trap antenna? Wire with a 4:1 or 9:1 or 5:1 transformer? Does it require a radial system or a single counterpoise? This type of info would be more helpful than the SWR measurements.......

Love your channels I have a question I have 4 rid radios 2 are the same model the other 2 are the same pair I have them all set to the same set up and you can receive on one set of radios but cannot transmit on the other pair is there a problem that I can fix with this The frequency is 454000 UHFPrimarily use for racing automobile reason control tower

I've had this in my cart for a week now... please help! It looks like it's a Unicorn! I mean sure, every non tower mount has its compromise, but.. why are there only 3 videos on this? And 2 of them are yours. It looks like a perfect field antenna that check all the boxes for non backpacking deployment. So what gives? Why is this not all over CZcams? Internet reviews?
