This is a great lesson as many are confused by this gift. Tongues are communicating with God. So when the whole congregation is speaking it brings confusion to non-speaking people. I believe that there should be intrepretation

In response to your question: Did Israel understand the tongues of the foreigners (Assyrians, Babylonians, Chaldeans) I researched it (As a matter of fact, beautiful question. You sure keep me on my toes…smile) I respond: Because they would not attend to plain messages, God would speak to them in a manner that they COULD NOT understand;and which they would hate to hear. APOSTLE Paul’s argument will be to this church, “ Since God threatens this as a curse, do not voluntarily bring it upon the church, merely to make your gift look extravagant or flashy. What say you?

Don't understand because some or a lot of people speak in tongues and don't know what they are saying are they or we wrong? the tongues come as we pray we don't or some don't make it up or just say fake it.
Great question and notice me statement, Paul never spoke against tongues but against improper use of them. If I have the mic and tongues begin to flow, I move the mic because I’m not speaking to the house but to God. We can also control the tongues, if we couldn’t the. Paul would not be telling us how to hold our tongues.
Amen. Move the mic. Because you are talking to God. God may be edifying something to you, but yes, if you are speaking in tongues out loud over the congregation, Interpretation will come forth, I have seen it happen.
