- Here is a replacement for the Sharp Carousel convection microwave R-1850 model. The direct replacement available that I found was the Sharp R-1874, only difference is that its stainless steel instead of black plastic. This application was in a 1998 Fleetwood American Eagle, and the mounting needed to be the exact same as this does not hang from a cabinet like most over the counter microwaves, it hangs from the back plate via some hanging screws.
The steps of removal and installation were exactly the steps needed to help remove and or install the unit.

Theres many ways to support the mic when you screwing it to the wall,i use wood blocks,pickup one end,shove a block under it,do the other end,repete.

Thanks, yea I had the foam there so it made it easy, plus some helpers did not hurt either. If I had to do it by myself I definitely would get some blocks or something to hold it up, that's a good idea.
Ours in the 1989 WB project was fried, have a new replacement sitting in the spot. Going to fab a new custim faceplate to tie it in there once i get through this never ending exterior repaint🙀
Thanks, yea I did not want to have to re-engineer anything and try to match the wood in this RV. Getting the microwave that mounted the same made it an easy swap. Yea, my buddies bus took over 6 months, but the painter was doing it in his spare time.

Yea, I kinda figured this would apply to some of the Wanderlodges as well. Its not a bad project, just the micros are a bit heavy.
Hi and thank you.... They only have the R-1874 T or TY now.... and I can't find out if they are the same as th R-1874. What do you think?
It appears that the installation manual for the 1874TY is the same as the 1874, so I would think it would work.
Be careful with that microwave...it's sharp...
