I thought they might have discontinued this model so glad they haven't. Great equipment to have in your kitchen.

I got my first Borner "V" Slicer in 1973 after seeing a live demonstration at "South Coast Plaza Shopping Center". I still have and use it ... 45 years of use... only problem I've ever had was putting it in dishwasher... The dry cycle warped some of the plastic housing... but it still works!

Can you believe that V3 costs EXACTLY the same today as it did when I bought mine in 1986? 32 1/2 years later! I paid Norwegian kroner 298,- in August of 1986... It was a lot of money for me back then, but that demonstration... Had to have it... 🤣👏👍 Fab that it is so easy to get parts for it today too, at really reasonable prices… 👍❣️

I rarely add comments, however this product is so good I could not resist. The design is breathtakingly complete, from the drip dry holder, to the stay sharp blades. I keep this on my counter, and unlike other slicers I've had, I actually use this all the time. The grub holder secures the food better than other flimsy models I've used, and I have not knicked myself once in all the months of slicing and dicing.

try home made coleslaw. Basically, cabbage (either red or white) as much onion as you like, carrot, perhaps some apple to make it sweeter. Half and half mayo and salad cream (or mayo and plain yogurt). Make a large bowl full, then divide into smaller bowls. To one add pineapple chunks, to another juicy sultanas and curry powder, grated cheese to another portion. Let your imagination go wild and impress your friends and family with your very cheaply made but totally high quality, unique hand made coleslaw.

Couldn’t believe my eyes, the winner looked exactly like this one. A week or so ago, I was ordering Universal-Stein (a fab natural cleaner I used for almost 20 yrs) and found that the co also sells this.Since mine didn’t come with a box, I was so happy to see that they sold bores for less than 5 bucks (US)... Now it is even neatly stored, added an elastic, so it can lie flat too. 👏👍😊

I could not get the hang of using the teeth blade and do the "turn 90 degrees" movement to chop an onion so I was hoping to get some info here but it turns out I don't even need to do that, I can just slice the onion a few times before using the teeth blade to chop an onion. Kudos. On the other hand, the music is absolutely annoying, what's with the high tempo muzak? We're not doing battles with the vegetables! Please, please, remove the music track, and if you must use music, some soothing background music would be much better.

Worth every penny spent. I am using it for 25 years.... Blades are good enough sharp, no rusting and great to go more years.

I was really disappointed , I ordered a mandolin and all I got was this finger remover. Imagine my surprise as I was at the dance hall awaiting my mandolin to be delivered. The rest of the band were upset with me as the show was about to start ....the fiddle player and the banjo player were tuning up , the guitar player was staring me down. Time was ticking, the audience was getting nervous as they awaited the music to begin. Finally the Amazon truck pulled up. I stood at the back door near the stage..when the delivery man grabbed the box out of the back of the truck the rest of the band started strumming and adjusting ....in comes delivery man ( I thought the box looked too small to be my mandolin......I was amazed to find an actual food slicer 'mandolin' and not my musical stringed instrument.....Im no longer a professional musician........but my God is this thing sharp. 'F' sharp ! Get it?

@@buckets212 your day job must be using the v slicer . An idea that was patented about a hundred years ago. My attempt at pun was weak but still years ahead of " keep your day job" have fun reading everyone's comments!
