March 19th, 2021 Stage IIIA Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (Non-Smoking)
February 2022 Stage IV Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (spreading to Brain, and other parts of lung and lymph nodes)
Gene Mutation EGFR with Exon 20 Insertion
TREATMENTS: Received or currently Receiving
2021: 8 Rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with 30 concurrent radiation treatments to chest and lung
Failed Immunotherapy directly after Chemo and Radiation (Durvalumab, 1 round)
2022: Chemotherapy
10 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
6 with Carboplatin, 4 without
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)
CURRENT TREATMENT:
I am on a clinical trial for my specific gene mutation

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
family.

Jenny you look so good. I think these colds are hard to shake. I thought I was over one day and it wasn’t but thank goodness I’m well now. I don’t have health problems ( yet). But Jenny I am 76 and was always independent . Went to gym walke 3 miles everyday worked in my yard always busy. Now I get so upset when I can’t keep that life up. When I started getting old I could not believe I was slowing down I even told my Dr. I can’t take this old stuff. Jenny I pray healing for you.

I am right there with you Dorothy! So frustrating to think in your head what you want to accomplish in a day and then run out of energy before can get it all done! I am grateful though, so many of my peers have much worse health problems than I do (so far!)

Jenny you are a true trooper. I too am fighting cancer but I don't have small children nor a husband.. I just got home after almost 3 months alternating between the hospital & rehab (2 surgeries). I thought I'd be fine as I employed a Caregiver to assist me M-F 2 hours per day . The Caregiver left after one week stating it was too much work. sigh. So it's been almost 1 week with some assistance from neighbors & my youngest adult son. I too am learning new ways to maintain myself, my home and my physical self. It's difficult being in a wheelchair with a cast on my rt. leg plus the lymphedema in my lt. arm d/t breast surgery . I am one of your many Prayer Warriors. Praying for good health . It's very challenging these new .

I had back pain like that w/ my lung cancer and went to ER. They X-ray’d and called my Oncologist. She said it was my tumor shrinking/dying. It was terrible pain but great news. Hang in there Jenny! I could deal with that pain forever ( and a little pain meds) 🥰

You look really good, looks like your rash is doing better as well. Pain management is the answer to stay on track in everyday life, and the kids don’t see the pain you are in and for there emotional well being, tell them you need mommy time and then you can cry, pain management will keep you and your kids emotions on track, sweetheart you go forward in life not looking back and comparing your old life. We live in the present not the past. You are very strong I know you have the fight in you look at your precious family. Stay positive smile.

The toast thing made me 😂. I have been served mouldy bread twice by hubby. Worse still he would offer bread and I’d say is it okay & he says it’s best before is ( various days in future); to which I reply but have you looked at it.
We had the same conversation every time until I could take it no more!
He’s not perfect but neither am I so we’re a good match 😁

You look so much better than you did last week when you also had a cold. Having young children in school means they bring home every cold doing the rounds. My sister, a school principal, loads up on vitamins B, C, & D in the lead-up to new terms. She laughingly refers to the younger students as "bug incubators" as they build up their immunity.
