Great video! 1.5 hours of hard work. The original spring was still ok, I just had to bend it quite a bit (sweating!!!) without breaking it. But then everything worked out. You just have to take a lot of time.

Hey mate I have a dual 704 and was wondering if the gimbal is meant to be a bit loose and wobbly like that ?

hiya :)
the gimbal should not be too loose or too tight. adjusted with the friction of the bearings: < 0.07 mN vertically and < 0.15 mN horizontally, if i understand the service manual correctly. if you adjust them to have no slack and make sure the contact points are clean you should be in relatively good shape i think.
