Here it is! I apologize for the delay, it was because I ordered a new mic and thought it'd be better if I waited for it to deliver a video with better quality, this mic makes the previous one look like utter crap! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video, let me know what you think of the new mic quality and the video in the comments below!
At this rate, the next sub special may be at 4k instead of 3.5k.

When there's bikes around you obviously know what style to choose
Nigerundayo!!
Lets be honest if everybody had that much strength irl theyd probably do that too lmao
Beast but he hella slow I like rush style
@Trooper Edward you get the three types by just playing the game, the last fighting styles require you to complete real estate and the cabaret club
Trooper Edward well to get the rush, beast, breaker, and bat stykes you just advance the main storyline normally. To get the legend style you must complete all of the real estate missions and cabaret club missions you get introduced to after a while
Lmao I remember Breaker was so overpowered because you’d just spam the spinning and it would even hit the opponents on the ground. Shit was so op. I loved it. Majima’s fighting styles are more fun than Kiryu’s.
Jotaro Kujo I still spam :)
Majima understood that the only way to win is to spin
@@deman182 He is in Spain without the A
@@HairyJuan Majima's left eye is in Spain without S
Man, Majima seems to have something for having OP beyblade attacks.
i seem to be one of the rare players who adore slugger the most... i really love that with slugger you get those nearly insane, creepy vibes that i love majimas character for
Same
I use it since it's the most powerful for majima in any decently open space and it has the most speed for such power
I was into breaker for a big chunk of the game, then Slugger grabbed me and did not let go. Best one by far
I love slugger but it's kind of weak for me. My favorite is Thug, like devilleon.
Bat of the Gods
I swear, if the RGG team confirmed Majima was stronger than Kiryu in this game, who'd doubt them?
Yang3213 anyone. There simply can't be anyone stronger than Kiryu Kazuma
Yang3213
Awano and Majima could wreck 20 year old Kiryu! IMO
it like Dante and Vergil
in gameplay Vergil is way stronger than Dante
but in story Dante stronger than Vergil according to DMC3
maybe same goes to Kiryu and Majima
Yeah, at that time Majima was more experienced than Kiryu at being a Yakuza not only that he beat guys like Kashiwagi, Sera, Lee, Awano, and Lao Gui. They were most likely stronger than Kiryu as well before he started to mature.
"kiryu breaks bones" "majima, the one who counter guns, catch katana, parry knife" Really cool.
I think my favorite is actually thug, or breaker. I overall found Majima's styles much more fun to use than Kiryu's
Kyriu is indeed more traditionnal, beside beast mode, now that is insane.
Fo me it's beast it's a great AOE style but breaker is good for swtrong enemy AOE
@@MisteriousMyseri what's AOE?
@@auzabraar Area of effect. Refers to abilities with wide radiuses. Traditionally capable of hitting multiple opponents at once
@@auzabraar Age of Empires
I like how the only downside of beast is that it ends fights too fast lmao
You should try dragon of dojima it's a lot funner but ends it just as quick
Main thing I like about Breaker is how it looks almost like modern Capoeira, which was a fighting style simulated to look like dancing.
But it's more break-dancey, and more knifish
@@masterwizard8090 After some time there were Capoeira practices that involved weapons such as blades or blunt objects (i think). Even Ogita from Yakuza 5 combines Capoeira with a knife, because he was a dancer.
I used thug a total of 0 times after unlocking anything else for majima
His slugger style destroys.
i use thug for shakedowns only
lol thug is the best style wtf are u doing
Why? Thug was amazing
Yeaaaa once you get the other styles thug is 100% useless. Thug just feels so damn weak.
“Top 8 Fighting Styles in Yakuza 0” you make it sound like there’s more than 8 fighting styles. Which, I guess technically there is, if you count the AI fighting styles.
Drunk style, MIB style, karate kid style, Mr. shakedown, nishiki style there is a lot
There's like about a hundred or two hundreds of them.
@@beemoviejazz317 mib style is pain
You mentioned Dragon of Dojima's unique taunt but not Mad Dog of Shimano's
Anyone whose played the other games, should remember Majima's signature cackle

*me on the toilet after eating chipotle :*
In my opinion, rush is really weak in this game compared to Kiwami. You’re way too slow for the style unless you’re in third heat mode
I almost never touched Rush outside of the tutorials in 0. In Kiwami, I used it all the time. I was floored the first time I used it in Kiwami because I remember it not being anywhere near that good. I see from comments here that it wasn't just me who felt that way.
Rush is my favorite style for boss fights. I use heat moves a lot and the speed doesn't really bug me.
Elliot Addler fax
Considering I beat kuze first time with rush as a first time player it isn't all that weak since I struggled with brawler
I used rush before I maxed out my training with Brawler which honestly I started using worh beast more since all you do with brawler is do the 3 square triangle heat action
I began my Journey with Yakuza Kiwami and.. I was blown away and Angry at myself for not being interested back in 2005... Thanks to Sony, I got to know one of the best series. I might even try and Platinum Kiwami... Well. If not, I'm coming for Yakuza 0 and then for Kiwami 2 anyway!
so you're like me, igot my hands on the franchise via PS+ games of this month, Kiwami is such a great remake, iam at the last chapter, and iwill then finish all of majima's quest to build up Dragon of Dojima style, iam planning to get Yakuza 6 cuz itried the demo few minutes on the demo and iam hyped, yakuza 0 looks awesome but iam more eager to buy mainly for Majima and the story, Kiwami 2 i'll take it when there will be a price drop
A heads up: you need to complete the Completion List. Which means...the Minigames. All of them. Including japanese stuff like Majong, Shogi and those card/dice games...
I also got Kiwami when it was on PS+, loved it and I'm interested in the series as a whole now
"thanks to Sony"
Bruh
@Axo Yeah, thanks to Sony and PS+ subscription. I know they didn't make the game, but still, thanks to that I got to know the series. Temptation was always there to buy either 0 or Kiwami, but I always ended up buying something else. When it came out on PS+ I literally didn't have an excuse to not download it and play it. You know what I mean?
I love Kiryu's beast style for it's power, and Majima's breaker style for its fun.
I also like Kiryu's brawler style as it feels natural and like a proper style lmao
Thug style is pretty good too

Damn fine list!
Here's mine:
8 - Rush (Really good in 3rd Gear, but almost useless if below, so using Heat Actions is, sadly, not recommended)
7 - Beast (Fun to watch and good counters, but a bit overpowered/slow)
6 - Slugger (Awesome combos, but wall-bouncing is annoying, too few Heat Actions for such an otherwise creative style)
5 - Thug (Heat Actions are fucking BRUTAL, very versatile, but counters are a bit of a pain to use, sometimes)
4 - Brawler (Heat Actions are radical, also very versatile, great counters, but feels a bit slow in lower Gears)
3 - Dragon (Classic, badass combos, counters are crazy, cool Heat Actions, but we've seen it before, and also a bit easy to use)
2 - Mad Dog (Fucking epic, previously unplayable, lives up to expectations, amalgam of his other styles, but few Heat Actions)
1 - Breaker (LITERALLY THE COOLEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN, awesome speedy combos and counters, but recovery a bit slow)
Fun fact: Watching the Breaker Style has inspired me to start breakdancing, myself! In fact, this whole series has inspired me to practice unarmed martial arts (previously a swordsman). Specifically in this game, I absolutely adore the style shifting, and I'm working on adopting a similar combat methodology.
Truly, this franchise is fucking amazing. Anyway, congrats on the 3k subs, Devilleon! Can't wait for more!
For a second I thought I was the only one who hated the Rush style (or at least didn't put it in my highest)
ZorroLoco 9
Switch brawler and slugger and that’s mine
Hope you advance better at what you practice
It inspired me to start giving a sh!t about my health and to take up unarmed martial arts as well. And they say gaming is bad for your health.

I haven't even finished watching this video and I already can tell that you did a pretty good job analyzing all of the fighting styles! 👍
I thought you're gonna put Breaker style on the first. But nevermind, Thug also cool too.
Nice video btw, keep the good work Dev!
I’ve been a fan of Yakuza series since 2011. The first Yakuza game I played , on PS4 , was Yakuza 0. It made such a huge difference. Thanks for making this video. So far I find I most often employ different fighting styles based on situation rather than preference. I just started the game and have only unlocked 3 of Kazuma’s fighting styles so far. Your video has given me so much to look forward to. Thanks man , from your Newest subscriber .
I can't even begin to express how badly I want to play as Majima...And I'll likely use the shit out of Mad Dog of Shimano. That being said, I'd kind of like to see all of the Yakuza game fighting styles analyzed and discussed. In Yakuza 4, for example, I caught myself playing as Tanimura more than the others, and leveled him up first.
There's also plenty of bosses who's fighting styles I often think of in regards to how they would translate into gameplay mechanics if playable. For example, Yoshitaka Mine from Yakuza 3.
not to mention that the song that plays when you are in the thug style with Majima is an absolute banger.
Fax
They were all bangers
@@gunk4876 Yep, but legend style themes take the cake imo
I love brawler simply for the square, square, triangle combo. It's quite satisfying
My favorite fighting style is G U N
this is one of my favorite channels you deserve 200k subs
Thanks man.
Thank you!
I look forward to playing this for my birthday!

I understand why you ranked Dragon of Dojima as low as you did, but Yakuza 0 was my first game in the series, so finally getting the style and hearing the music and trying the combos... Ahhhh, it felt so good... I'll probably miss the different styles by the time I finish Kiwami, though.
Excellent Leon!!!
Thank you so much :D
Have to agree with you. The more I play as Majima the more i’m growing in love with his battle styles. I find the Dragon of Dojima, Beast and Sluggers have slow and heavy impact on enemies. Less appealing but if get it right, it’s massive. Whenever in battle, I tend to switch back to the first battle style; either Brawler for Kiryu or Thug for Majima because it’s more practical and easier to dodge from the enemy’s attack. The Break style looks interesting and could easily spam those moves against a lot of enemies. Kinda reminds me of using Eddy Gordo in Tekken series or even Chun Li in Street Fighter lol. Thank you for the video 👍🏻
"That's Rad!"

That's rad!
And now, for the Top 20 bosses of the series! ;)
A title of such magnitude should be saved for either the 5k sub special or the 10k one. I'm trying to save these real good ones for later XD
@@devilleon7 now its over 50k😆
My ranking.
8 - Beast
I love the brutality that Kiryu displays in this style, but the form is so insanely broken that it made the game way too easy. It removed a lot of fun for me.
7 - Rush
I love the fast and counter based gameplay of Rush, but I really hated how slow you were below 3rd gear. Throughout most of my time using this, I struggled to get to 3rd gear with Rush during normal encounters. Once you get to 3rd gear, it’s amazing, but I don’t think it’s worth much effort.
6 - Breaker
The wackiness of this form was super pleasant to watch. Seeing Majima dance on his opponents was cool and hilarious. My only problem was that for me, the gameplay was a bit wonky.
5 - Dragon of Dojima
Kiryu’s iconic fighting style. I love the new heat actions and the counters. I also love the taunts, the animations, and especially the counters. My biggest problem with it was that it sadly had the same problem as Rush, but even worse.
4 - Slugger
The ability to use different type of weapons for different heat actions was cool, and I loved that it wasn’t like Beast and it’s brokenness. My only problem is that once you level Slugger up more and more, I found that creating new bats for it was useless.
3 - Brawler
The insane amount of heat actions present here and it’s versatility alone brings it up this high. Brawler was what I hoped Dragon of Dojima was like. The only thing that I had an issue with was that the dodge was wonky.
2 - Thug
The sleekness of the form combined with its versatility, multiple abilities, and heat actions make it the best overall form in terms of fun.
1 - Mad Dog of Shimano
Only here for personal bias. I have so much fun with the counter and the unique heat action. The animations are gorgeous, and it feels so good to finally play this form. Only issue is that it has one unique heat action when there was potential for a lot more.
Personally i found thug style extremely underwhelming to use
I'm late. I like your stuff. I have now subscribed :)

@@devilleon7 Thanks man. Is there free food here?

Breaker is OP. Everything else is meh. You can basically spam a certain combo and you win every fight with ease.
Majimas Breaker?
That's why I don't use it.it just feels dirty
* laughs in mad dog *
Did you mean: Slugger
All of Majima’s styles are quite spammy except thug
Slugger has to be my favorite one. It's just so easy and fun to use, especially with the nunchuck move.
I love how sloppy and unrefined Brawler looks and feels while still being a powerful style
The breaker style is my most favourite. I had so much fun with that.
11:57
How do you do a regular triangle move when the heat action icon pops up?
You need to hold L2 for that. That'll prevent heat actions from happening where non-heat action triangle moves involved.
slugger is my fav style...the combos are just too satisfying
8 • Dragon of Dojima
7 • Rush
6 • Slugger
5 • Beast
4 • Mad Dog of Shimano
3 • Brawler
2 • Thug
1 • Breaker
Now we're talking
8. Thug (shaker)
7. Dragon of Dojima
6. Rush
5. Brawler
4. Mad Dog of Shimano
3. Beast
2. Slugger
1. Breaker
Thug has an amazing unlockable attribute where you can repeatedly press square and it'll continually hit them and stun lock them and it won't knock them down until you press triangle basically meaning that you can just drain there health in one combo. Brutal. Great choice for number 1.
Loved breaker and beast. Crowd control plus it's just fun
One thing to note about Majima's MDOS style is that after you do a combo attack and mash Triangle (PlayStation gamepad), he proceeds to dash towards enemies and does so multiple times in succession to do consecutive damage.
I know this might sound crazy but could you do a summary of the yakuza games for fans just now starting in the series
My personal favourite style is DoD but your reasons for putting it at 8 are completely understandable. For me i think it’s just cause I slighter prefer Kiryu over Majima (but only slightly)
(Kiryu spots a bike)
Silent contemplation followed by violent gorilla sounds.
I just realized that the styles from 0 is essentially lifted from some other playable characters in the previous entry;
Breaker Style has some elements of Akiyama fighting style in 5, where he starts using dance moves in his style
Slugger Style is definitely Shinada's from 5
Rush Style has some elements of Tanimura from 4, especially with the dodge and counters
Beast Style is clearly even more unkempt and robust version of Saejima in 4-5
Brawler and Thug is the only original style for the game, even then it's basically the less refined and more potent version of each character's famous fighting style as depicted in the Dragon of Dojima and Mad Dog of Shimano style.
I loved using breaker it was fun
I love how the legends styles have shrouds instead of heat auras
The heat draining taunt is required for any First Gear abilities so it helps you decide the flow of the fight
MrAsaqe there is no ability that you could use in Mad Dog or Ryu styles if I remember correctly
I love playing Majima and mixing up the styles, especially with the Slugger style’s opening bat attack so I can hit enemies while switching to it, but most of the time I use Thug because it’s just so fun running around and breaking people’s necks (not killing them).
How is breaking people's necks NOT, basically, killing them? 🤔🙂
Slugger’s light light heavy attack was my savior for most of the game as majima. Not to mention that style got me into the multi billions from shakedown fights on chapter 4
Kiwanis and zero were my first yakuza games, so I didn’t have the same problem of dragon of dojo a style being used before
I love breaker the most cause it’s cool, but also good for crowd control
7:06 love that heat action
The breaker style is basically just called the hey yo/wryy style when fighting the breakdancing gang
honestly i think brawler might be my favorite, also because of the guard counter and the counter hook.
DOD would be my favorite, but its slow when you don’t have heat
I always like to go for the “fast” fighting style (Breaker and Rush) since they’re just so fun to use....not to mention they’re the only two styles with some basis in real-life martial arts (boxing and capoeira)
Thug is very close to muay thai
I guess Brawler and Dragon don't exist.
What about wrestling and jiujitsu
@@nautilus2612 *Taekwondo/Hapkido
Way to acrobatic for Muay Thai.
Honestly I'm not even sure which fighting styles to choose in order, they're all too damn good.
the only way to have any use from dragon of dojima is by leveling up the heat accumulation passives a crapton
If you see a mr shakedown and have mad dog of shimano you know what attack to spam
For both Kiryu and Majima they're heavy styles (Beast and Slugger) were my favorite styles for crowds of goons whike their legend styles were my favorite for boss fights. I liked all the styles and used them all quite a lot though. Maybe Breaker the least since I just couldn't get the hang of it but I plan on doing a second playthrough soon and want to use a lot of the moves I feel like I overlooked originally
Ok, so hear me out, what if you use one fighting style for each situation?
Open World fights: Brawler & Breaker
Side quests: Dragon & Slugger
Rampages (those times where you run from room to room fighting thugs): Beast & Mad Dog
Bosses: Rush & Thug
I gotta say, thugs my favorite, mostly due to less ending lag from combos, allowing you to retreat easier, and makes Mr. Shakedown a little easier to beat.
Devil lion some of the styles are different names like dragon of dojima was called master of dojimas fist and beast was called destroyer in other videos and breaker was called dancer I think boxer would be better then ruah
For the name
As long as you have 3rd or 2nd heat before starting the fight, you can absolutely decimate Mr Shakedown if you’ve invested in Rush.
That's rad
12:05 i have a question, how do you increase your heat without doing nothing? I want to know because i already have the mad dog of Shimano style
War god talisman from CP rewards
I understand ur point on why u put dragon of dojima style in number 8 But it’s a amazing style it’s a mix of Rush, Beast, Brawler and ofc some extra things u get from the style. U also get heat actions that do a lot of damage with is very good for bosses with lots of health I kinda feel like dragon of dojima style was put to low on the list. Good Vid Tho!
I liked Brawler just because of the kickass music for it during fights
Agree with the list, except for Rush, as I would put it on the first place.
8 - Dojima no Ryu: The legendary old style...
Cons: TOO SLOW below 3rd gear, and his badass iron fist counter no only misses sometimes but also uses too much Heat gauge...
Pros: 3rd Gear Heat is so much badass, and the theme played is the best of all 8 styles.
7 - Beast
Cons: Too much powerful when full upgraded, and not that fun to use, to me.
Pros: Very useful against multiple foes.
6 - Slugger
Cons: Unless you unlock the specific upgrade, the bouncing bat on wall is really annoying, making it frustrating to use in beginning...
Slow too, and as a hand to hand player type, I don't often use weapon, making this style less fun for me.
Pros: Nunchaku bat !
5 - Breaker
Cons: Dashes and Square combos really weird to me, and bad style against bosses.
Pros: Very useful against multiple foes.
4 - Brawler
Pros: Jack of all trades style, and stronger than Dojima no Ryu, except for counters. Brillantly reflects young Kiryu. Badass Heat moves ! Love the grab follow ups.
Cons: I don't like the Square combos, weak counters, and fight backs should start faster, Kiryu takes little too luch damage before fighting back, and these moves sometimes misses.
3 - Mad Dog of Shimano
Pros: AT LEAST !!!
Strongest counter of the game, fastest mobility, very fun to use, useful against several ennemies, badass Heat move...
Cons: ... But the only unique Heat move. Spinning Knife drains the Heat Gauge too fast. Not that great against bosses.
2 - Thug
Pros: BADASS. The Heat moves are the best looking of the game, especially the ennemy grab escape when Majima lands a fuckin' flying high kick and the wall back grab, with the backfist followed by an awesome wall back flip.
Square combos is cool, best style against bosses, good against several foes too (!), good counter...
Cons: ... Only on 3rd Gear, and consumes Heat... (But Badass !)
Fight backs awful.
1 - Rush
As an counter fanatic (I love Tiger Drop !), I'm suprised myself to love Rush style (The style with no counters at all). It's the funniest style to me, as your literally play with your opponents. I love speed like Akiyama, and Rush is so cool. Love that weaving builds Heat. To be able to quickly get out and in. The "counter" is actually useful too. The Square combo is badass. The Heat counter (Both) are badass. And the fact that you can cancel combos into dashes is really awesome, as you can combo dash then combo again !
The cons...
Bit repetitive, and really bad wakeup attack. Need to be 3rd Gear to be really fun to play...
And lacks a punch while weaving.
Of course, It's my opinion !
Sorry in case of bad writting, I'm French.
PS: I follow this channel since years, and never wrote a comment before.
Devilleon, keep the good work, it's because of people like you that we finally got the chance to have Yakuza at home. Thank you.
I really enjoy the style system, of this game, since certain situations can call on certain styles. Dealing with a crowd, and you don't want them to block? Beast style and pick up a sign! Dealing with an enemy that's super slow? Rush that fool, and counter his crap! The styles are just incredible for strategizing, on the fly, most of the time. Majima's Thug style is more of a martial arts kind of style, and Kazuma's Brawler style is more on street fighting. It's certainly an interesting mechanic.
Cuvillier Pierre-François Breaker beats bosses easily just fine. I can make a video where I beat them all easily using only breaker. Except for final chapter bosses due to restrictions.
Kamran Dadashov Well, it has counters, the dash grab...
But the lack of a quick strike is bad against bosses, at least to me. Rush combo starts too slowly compared to Thug style. But yeah, once the Rush combo starts, you can rape bosses, especially next to walls with 4x square then triangle.
Is mad dog of shomano bad against bosses? I literally cheesed the bosses in the last chapter with it and felt bad due to how easy it is, running and stabbing them over and over amd they dont do kuch at all to stop it.
solidante 83 naw breaker can eat a bosses life it can be kinda cheap really.
Slugger is awesome for me just because of its XXY combo and the ability that allows you to block damage from every direction
And if you were to make a Top 4 of each style for both characters, how would you classify them?
That game is FUN
my top 8 are: dragon of dojima, slugger, rush, breaker, brawler, beast, mad dog of shimano and thug.
p.s: you sound awesome. 👍
Thanks man :D
Kuze and Awano’s style look so fun
Thug is crazy fun to use.
As a combat sports athlete a mix of Rush and Brawler reminds me of an MMA fighter mixed with dirty street fight/martial arts movie moves.
Rush was my favourite throughout the course of the game for Kiryu. Also breaker as well, because you know
Wait do businesses save progress after new game plus because I want to complete the game but I also want to get the styles
Majima takes the phrase "Spin to Win" to another fuckin level
My personal Meta was just Beast whenever there was an object around, thug in emergencys, Slugger Nunchuk combo spam move for boss fights ( my absolute favorite btw) and breaker for hordes
Got me through the Game quite easily
My favorite for Majima is slugger, and I've just been sticking to brawler for Kiryu. I think breaker looks cool, but I can't work with it that well lol
The Mad Dog style is ideal for fighting Mr. Shakedown, especially if there are walls nearby
Nice list Dev! I've yet to get the Legend styles for Kiryu and Majima, but for my personal list, I'm gonna go with...

5) Breaker

Hey Leon how do u keep gaining heat in mad dog of Shimano cuz I have a talisman that I think gives me heat but only when I'm calm
I stuck with brawler mostly with Kiryu and Slugger with Goro. A lot of guides seem to rave about Beast, but I couldn't get a handle on it. Seemed too slow to be effective outside very specific scenarios.
I agree completely
the dragon of dojima suplex was recycled from yakuza 5. before, it was shinada's move.
