    The Þ (Thorn)is pronunced like the "th" in "thick" "thing".
    It's lighter counterpart "Edh" (ð) is pronunced like "th" in "this", "that", "the". Edh cannot stand in the beginning of a word.

    með is similar to Swedish med, which means with, or along in this case (and "so reyndu að syngja með" comes right after "this is the a to ö of Ísland")

    Love the fact that icelandic is almost the same as the ancient languages wich most Western languages Came from and people still find it difficult, it's really not that hard when you listen to it carefully

    Damn, I’ve been to Iceland 3 times, including 3 mounth in summer 2020... and I still miss this country, the people, the gorgeous landscape, the glaciers, the falls, the... 😢

    The trick that was used to create the Icelandic language is to take the old nordic language from 1000 years ago and change it as little as possible but still keep with the times.

    i think my fav part of my own country is that it is really safe here only about 1-3 murders happen a year but from curent events from this year and last year the numbers have grown a bit but it is still really safe here

    Im from sweden I understand some words because theyre similar too swedish some of them. Also I think the vikings put together the icelandic language? My favorite thing about icleand is ofc the nature and that it seems like they have so much fresh, moist cold air there atleast from this video.

      Not every one were vikings though. And no one was tecnically a viking, viking just means exploration or raiding and it meant going in viking. And it was only men who did that beside some shield madens in Norway.

    Islandés es realmente un idioma muy interesante en su estructura, por así decirlo. Hace años, una compañera mía de la universidad decidió tomar clases de islandés como materia optativa y recuerdo que me dijo que era muy difícil y una de las razones es que si necesitan una nueva palabra, la inventan de las palabras que ya tienen en su idioma, o sea, cero (o casi cero) palabras prestadas de otros idiomas, lo que lo haría tal vez al menos un poco más fácil de aprender!😐 Fue interesante poder escucharlo un poco😉👌🏻
