After walking for nearly three hours, going to the monestary and visiting the tribal village and back, I was hungry for breakfast. I asked a Tibetan man if I could find some Tibetan food, and found out that there was a Tibetan dhaba nearby. I headed over there and had two Tibetan dishes - thukpa and momos - and it was awesome! Also explored the interior of the place and chatted with the owner about the meaning of those colorful flags. Join me to experience it all..

Hi! Gentleman, if you are from Bangalore city we have few Tibetan restaurants at famous Brigit road....name like Shangrilla and Rice bowl etc.
Thanks, I'm planning to visit there! 🤙🏻
The five colors of Tibetan flags that you seen in yrs video is called wind horse , blue color is sky 🌌 , white for cloud ☁️, yellow for soil or land, green for water 💦 & red for fire 🔥 Tibetan prayer flags are traditionally hung in high places to catch wind so the prayers will be carried out to bless & brings good fortune to all sentient beings.
Beautiful concept 👌🏻
All these r prayer flag with different prayers n mantra as the man said . These r five basic colors red white blue teal low n green five elements including the sky that’s why it’s printed on these five basic colors . On special auspicious days these prayer flags r raised on higher hills or altitude as the winds blow we believe these prayers will be taken to different directions by the wind will bring peace n blessings .
Beautiful! 👍🏻

Tashi Delek. You are from Mundgod? We were there in Dec 2019, stayed at Drepung Gomang monastery and attended HHDL’s teachings. That was a short time before the world got upended by Covid. We are so lucky to have seen HHDL. We hope to visit again in the future. We miss our Tibetan friends. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

It differ person to person when thukpa is prepared. It can be prepared it with lots of vegetables along with meat. I am sure momo is really testy especially when it’s juicy
Momos! 😋
@@DCTravelerExperience even momos are different from person to person even though it’s momo. To have tibetan food, you got to go to a real tibetan restaurant and than you will have the real test
You should read book called MY LAND AND MY PEOPLE by HIS HOLINESS 14 DALAI LAMA

(I have now had almost everything Tibetan)
Tibet is neighbouring country of India, Nepal, East Turkestan, southern Mongolia,China and Myanmar. These countries are true and original neighbours of Tibet. But sad is this , When China’s violent and ILLEGAL occupation of its Neighbouring countries are removed from the MAP. Tibet has own religion, culture, language and Capital city of Tibet is LHASA. In Lhasa there is Potala palace. The palace was built as the center of tibetan government by fifth Dalai Lama in 1645. The palace has over 1,000 rooms and 32 acres. Lhasa potala palace is highest ancient palace in the world.
That's awesome! Thank you for the information! 🙏🏻

5 elements...blue for sky, white for air,red for fire or sun, green for water, yellow for earth or soil..
Tashi delek 🙏🏻
In thukpa there are thenthuk, gyathuk, bhakthuk. Try thenthuk for more an authentic food, beef thenthok is our daily routine food. In Tibet it will be yak meat.
Thank for this information 🙏🏻
Tibetan Prayer flags are traditionally hung in high place to catch the wind so the prayer will be carried out to bless and bring good fortune to all sentient beings and used to promote compassion peace, strength and wisdom, They are also used to carry prayers and mantras through the wind. Blue symbolizes the sky and space, White symbolizes the air and wind, Red symbolizes the fire, Green symbolizes the water, Yellow symbolizes the earth. As a Tibetans we don eat momo, thukpa in breakfast. Every Tibetan eat a Bhakley and butter tea or sweet tea as a breakfast..just sharing my information. from 🇺🇸
Beautiful concept 👌🏻
