They also had Bokcic, Mancini, Mihailovic, Nedved...Probably the best Lazio squad of all times. Probably one of the best Italian squads ever, generally. They won the double that year.
Yeah they had a team full of stars back then. Then they bought Crespo, Claudio Piojo Lopez, Mendieta... And they got into deep financial troubles
@@mesicek7 I know that northern Italians are richer in Italy, but one would expect Roma and Lazio, both being teams from the capital and with countless fans all over Italy, to have more titles. Juventus and the two Milan teams having close to 80 championships and both Rome teams having just 5, is ridiculous. Isn't Lazio as a club a good investment for some ultra rich guy?? On the other hand, I come from a country where the league is even more ridiculous. Here we got only one team winning it all the time. Olympiacos.
@@andreasgreek312 Serie A isn't marketable due to the language barrier not to mention very old stadiums and low attendances compared to other leagues.
