- Restoration of an old rusted Hammer, in this video I restore old rusty Hammer, and make a beautiful Walnut handle with Brass insert. This Hammer was found in ancient abandoned well.
This little hammer was sticking out of the pile in extracted clay. It is not known exactly how long this tool was under water, but it is at least up to 100 years. It was extremely rusty, rust stuck to it in a thick layer, the handle was present but rotten and cracked, as you see it has offset center, this little hammer must shine like a mirror, so I decided to do this perfect restoration.
Processing: First I sawed off the old handle and took it out of the seat, then decide to remove rust off tool by using acid cleaning, it was concentrated hydrochloric acid, at first thought how to do best way so as not to remove the extra metal chassis. The acid cleaned the rust from the object and did not damage the steel, as in the case of use Sandblasting. Then Hammer Head was grinded and Hand Sanded. After that it was polished to a mirror finish by using woolen grinding wheel and polishing paste. The handle made out of walnut, this wood has beautiful texture, it is a nice choice for Woodworking also. I really like Copper, but did not have such a plate and decided to make this Insert of Brass. Turned out a kind of small hammer with a brass insert.
It was a nice interesting project with a little bit of history. I hope you like it, Please comment like and Subscribe to see my other interesting videos.
Thanks to all who like my work and videos.

I love when people bring old tools back to life...using no fancy tools.

👍👍 Bravo 👏!
You brought an old rock hammer back to life better than the original. I would be afraid to use it now for its original purpose. Nice job!
gorgeous! would have loved to see the whole process of carving the handle. next time maybe.
Ok, thank you
Amazing keren😀😀😀😀😀👍👍👍☕
Absolutely beautiful. Very nice work.
Another beauty..really enjoy watching you work. Thanks for sharing.
Sweet little hammer. Nicely done!
Nice restoration, great idea to add brass insert, and cool end! 👍😂
It looks like a mason hammer. Good job on bringing it back.
Great restoration without effort. Well done..
Wow, great job her.
Nice refurbish project. Nice to see it will be well taken care of now... Thumbs Up!

Really lovely restoration. I would have enjoyed watching more of the process with the handle. It jumped to finished too quick.

Absolute fabulous job you did here. Beautiful hammer.
Thank you! 🙂
0:05 wow 50 years in water and clay but still handle is ok....
Nicely done. 😀👌🏼
Thanks
absolutely beautiful. It is too nice to every use, I never thought of a hammer as a piece of art but you certainly did it! What is the finish on the handle and why was it heated before applying? Thank you for creating and posting these videos
It was soldering, I applied thread to brass insert and soldered it
Ache kosis ki hy apny nice
Nice
Looks fantastic! Amazing work!
How do you know it was 50 years old. That’s a legitimate question not being a troll

Thank you 🙂 I'm from Ukraine. Would be Great! I'm restoring things given by my Subscribers if you don't want them back😊
magnificent work. Hey I'm 50 too, do you think you could make me go back to 20?
Thank you mate, I think you yourself would like to go back to 20 without my help ;)
Cool👍
I would not call this restoration but renewal
How long did you have it in the acid?
z czego robisz trzonki do młotków ?
How did you know it's been under mad for 50 years?
Inscrito. Best work.
Nice . Do you know ir the muriatic ácid work it the same as your ácid?
Thank you, I'll try it
👍👍👍
İnsan bunu kullanmaya kıyamaz
Why hot oil? More penetretion?
Nice hammer and nice restoration but i dont like the handle hehe
Cómo hace esos acabados sin usar pastas ?
Good question, you can use sandpaper of 1500 - 2000 grit or more, for example in my video where im restoring tiny vise im not using any polishing paste, all polishing work was done by hands to a mirror finish
@@almostperfectrestoration everything is based on sandpaper so thanks for the tip brother congratulations for the channel you have my support thanks
I'm restoring antique hammer that found by myself underwater in well. Hope you will like the video, Please comment and Subscribe :)👍

Be careful. I have a permanent scar on my hand from prying off a rusty piece
Tinners hammer
WTF!? ☠️ 2:53
Had only that acid, but works well
Yet another fake restoration of an not very old piece of crap. Get real dude!
👍👍👍
