Syosset, NY Volunteer Fire Department Model 5 test - January 1, 2021

I believe this is a Federal Signal Model 5. Images on the internet show some Model 5s that look a little different, there seems to be some confusion. Anyone know? Happy 2021!

That is a Fedelcode Model 5. Always good to see Variety. It seems like it did 2 cycles for today’s noon blast. Unusual. Nice video!

Thanks! Yes, the two cycles was unusual, I've never heard it do that before. Maybe an extra one for New Year's Day?

We haven't been able to get a Mineola FD Thunderbolt video for I guess four weeks now. The fire station is empty and the lights are out. It looks like it needs some repairs in the interior. Hopefully the engines will move back in someday and the 'Bolt will start blasting again.

No, there was no call. I have no idea why it did two cycles instead of one. Maybe they set it to do two because it was New Year's Day?

It's tested every day at 12:00 noon except Sundays and holidays.
