France Ligue 1: All Winners from 1993 to 2024
Previously called Division Nationale (1932-1972, and Division 1 (1972-2002), Ligue 1 is the largest French Football Championship, and in the current season it has 18 teams.
Although national championships had been held since 1893 by the USFSA and FFF, they were all amateur and professionalization meant that the titles of these previous contests lost credit in relation to the competition then organized for the first time in the 1932-33 season.
Today the biggest champion is PSG, but there were great hegemonies in previous years, with teams like Saint Etienne, Olympique de Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Lyon, among others who won several titles in a row in this competition.
