- Welcome to Bucharest. In this 4k walking tour we are walking through the cobbled streets of the old city center of Bucharest, Romania.
The Historical Center of Bucharest, also called the Old Town by the locals, is one of the most sought-after and beautiful areas in Bucharest.
The buildings found throughout the old town were built in neoclassical and neo-baroque style, which gives this place a very special feel and vibe.
And, as expected, at the ground floor of many of these buildings you can find terraces, cafes, restaurants, and shops, where tourists and locals alike can enjoy a nice drink, fresh, delicious local food or can enjoy a shopping session.
You can walk into the Old Town from pretty much anywhere in central Bucharest, whether it's Calea Victoriei (Victoriei boulevard) or Unirii, . If you are coming from further away, you can always take the metro to either Piata Unirii (Unirii Square) or Universitate.
There are so many awesome bars and clubs in Bucharest Old Town. As soon as you enter the old town you are greeted by friendly people who welcome you to their restaurant.
Here you can enjoy a variety of restaurants and coffee shops, and lounges, especially better in warm weather at decent prices. During the night the whole place changes its vibe and music starts to play from everywhere. The pubs and clubs become very active and can offer you lots of fun. Whether you decide to stop at a club, or simply wander through the streets, the old city center of Bucharest is the perfect place to make beautiful memories.

I know this has nothing to do with your question, but as a Romanian, you should visit Brașov or Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest is pretty shit honestly.

Ca dintre toate video-urile unde am vazut tururi de genul asta, inclusiv in tari mai sarae ca albania sau bosnia, oamenii sunt mandrii de orasele lor, doar romanii sunt singurii prosti care isi auto-denigreaza locurile. Chiar era nevoie de acea remarca? M-ati innebunit toti cu Brasov si Cluj de zici ca-s buricul universtului, de parca in tara asta in afara de Transilvania nu mai e nimic de vazut. Locuri din Moldova sau Muntenia n-ati prmova...

Heard a lot of good stuff regarding Romania! I am seriously thinking of moving there any recommendations regarding best places? I appreciate Bucharest is probably more expensive as it is the capital! I would just love to buy a property with a bit of land and live off the land minding my own business! I am currently living in the uk which is getting worse by the day! Thanks
HI Ann. Thanks so much for the comment. Romania is a very beautiful country, indeed. Some of the smaller towns are a pleasure to visit and live in. I wouldn't recommend Bucharest to anyone, to be honest. The historic center is beautiful, but the rest of the city is kind of ugly. And crowded, noisy. If you're a businessman (or woman), and want to start a business, yes, Bucharest is a great place.
But if you want to live here, and enjoy nature, do some gardening, growing your own veggies and fruits... then living somewhere in the countryside is better. Some of the best towns here are Sibiu, which is really nice and chill. Brasov, as well. Cluj-Napoca (where the Untold festival is held each year. Young city, full of students), or Timisoara are very well received by foreigners. You don't need to live in the city, there are communities outside the city, like those new neighborhoods newly built, where you can buy a house, and do your own thing. And it is much quieter than living in the city.

How do you considered this city ? Is ugly? Did you know that today on 1 December is the Romania national day? And there at arc de triomphe comes military parades.
I am from Romania, and compared to my city (Sibiu), I think Bucharest is ugly, yes. It has some nice parts (like the old town), but the rest, for me, is way too crowded, noisy, dirty and ugly.
Yes, December 1st is our national day. There are military parades in almost all major cities. Bucharest's parade is the best one, for sure. It is worth seeing it (on tv, because live is way too cold :) )
@@4kcitytours I'm from Bucharest and I understand what you mean. Growing up, I always hated my city. But now that I'm older (and wiser hopefully), I can appreciate the history and architecture of Bucharest a lot more. It has a mix of so many different styles (italian, french, german, turkic, modern and even communist) and I don't know many other cities like that. I think it's the diversity and contrasting styles that give Bucharest its beauty. I wouldn't say the entire city is ugly, just some parts of it, like in any other city. Thanks for the video! Romania 🇷🇴🇷🇴 is also one of the fascinating countries in Europe as has been still spoiled too much by mass and over crowded tourism.
There still are remote locations, in the mountains, in those mountain villages, that are just a real pleasure to visit. I agree, romania is a beautiful country.
