This episode we are back home at Haulover Inlet. Who will take the win this week between Haulover Inlet and the Boats?

Last captain was impressive. There were a lot of people on that boat and he was still able to hold the bow up where it needed to be.
Hmm. That second Pardo took water over the bow. Broke Cardinal Rule 1.

Guru, those Pardo boats with their REVERSE Carolina Bow are MEANT TO SOAK the occupants in the boat. So maybe the first one did as it is designed.....to SOAK the crew. Maybe you should give them the win. Hehehehehe

the bow design isn't defective .. it requires speed to work properly and these credit card captains don't understand how to operate the eurohull designs. (see also: SAY)
@@TheMrMused That's what I meant by defective. V hulls work at speed or slowly.
@@kenthresh3350 that doesn't make the design defective. It makes the hull design require specific operation. There are *lots* of different hull designs other than Vees. Whalers don't have a Vee and they perform brilliantly .. arguably better than a Vee at all speeds.
Saying a eurohull design is defective is akin to saying the hull of an Unlimited Hydroplane class boat is defective.
@@kenthresh3350 All hull shapes are compromises. The flared hull you probably advocate for sacrifices a lot of space on and below deck in the bow.

Pardo boat designer hit it on the nail with the design on there models. They are so streamlined and look so sleek and minimalist. But they open up into all kinds of things depending. One looks just like an engine cover or and than it opens up to have a job boat in it.
That last boat was loaded and not one wearing a Pfd. That looks like a boat repairers dream spot.
i dont think i have ever seen a pardo or axopar win. those hull desgins are terrible
I’ll have to look up some info on them. I agree, the two Pardos didn’t perform well for their size.
The first Pardo wasn’t even close to stuffing, but without any bow flare water just poured in. Terrible design for shedding water!
The pardos are just form over function but the axopar is not designed to be a dry ride, the are designed to go at high speeds and just punch thru the waves and the evacuate any water asap with its almost completely open stern

Yellowfin beat the inlet - the wrap had existing issues and the boat still came in smooth as silk. The Pardo is a stupid design and ugly - it doesn't have to stuff to get you drenched!

I do this Inlet, every morning with my 8 ft. rowboat. Never have any problems.

Huge fan of the Pardo hull design actually but cheaping out on the windshield definitely paid the price with that accounting error.

The yellowfin already had a piece of the wrap missing. So no that boat shouldn't have lost to the inlet

The sun will rise in the east and the boats will win after being down 2-1, this time even after both of the Pardos stuffed the bow. Only a couple of rules on this channel, except when there aren’t.

I've never been to Haulover. All I know about it is what I have seen here. So I have to ask. Is it always so rough there? Cause, if it is, I ain't never going there!
There's nice days. In-between tides usually calms down a bit. But it doesn't take much to make it angry.

OK, before I make fun of these guys, I almost died 3-times in a kayak and once in a Zodiac boat in Lake Tahoe. Obviously my property lose would have been minimal. Who can afford these boats and be an idiot?
