Barranco de Guiniguada 🏃‍♂️ Virtual Trail Run in Gran Canaria 🇮🇨

Finally, a Virtual Trail Run in the Canarian countryside! Gran Canaria is generally a dry island but there are places that stay green even throughout the summer months. Barranco de Guiniguada is one such area, we'll head there, to a resting spot near the Jardín Botánico Canario and run towards the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This trail is popular among hikers, you can get from Las Palmas to Santa Brígida following it. We might do that one day as another run.
This is a longer than usual trail run for slightly more than an hour. In the beginning, there is a lot of stones on the way but you should be fine on your treadmills 😅
There is no music or voice commentaries in the video, only authentic sounds of the environment and me running, breathing, sometimes clearing my throat or coughing 😁 Feel free to mute and play some music of your choice instead!

Awesome hiking trail! Could you please provide the directions from Las Palmas? So green and beautiful!

You can start from Las Palmas and go up towards Santa Brígida, in this case you only need to get to Teatro in Las Palmas and make your way from there. To go in the same direction that I have, you can take a bus from San Telmo to Tafira Alta and then there's about 1,5 km walking until you reach the same spot I started from. Or you can go all the way to Santa Brígida, it's the same bus and not much further. In any case you should consult a map where hiking trails are marked, there are many phone apps you can use for that.
