-Hello everyone and welcome to my channel! This channel is about my life as a farmer, and I hope you take the time to watch all my videos! I am a third generation dairy /crop farmer who loves what I do and want to share it with you! We farm in Michigan where we grow hay, corn, soybeans, and wheat, while milking almost 200 cows twice a day. So enjoy the videos and feel free to like, comment, and share my videos!

Hard to not think of your mom when I pick up the milk.... Kip.... One thing that always stood out about your mom.... Was when she knew that someone was going thru something tough... She would reach out and touch your arm... And say.... Hey... How you doing.... It was more a demand.... Not a question.... She wanted to know.... She wanted to listen... That's where you get it from. Kip. I lost my mom in December to cancer. She was only 52 and i struggle every day. But like you said, life goes on. I found comfort in know shes in a better place. Happy Birthday to your mom in Heaven. Maybe our moms are hanging out together up there.

My grandparents and my dad used to milk cows for 42 years in a stanchion barn near Deckerville. I would help out as a kid. I now live near Lapeer, not too far from your place. I am really interested in dairy videos - inspiring.
One thing I have seen my dad do for the hole in the gate pin is place in a bent nail instead of a cotter pin - much harder to slip out. Also, I am praying for your mother. She must have meant a lot to you.

Great video I lost my dad 13yrs ago and I still have that good emotional moment. He passed in our milking parlor had a massive heart attack so I came back to the farm full time and keep milking for 9 years loved it. We had a 3 stall parlor just like yours so I really enjoy watching the videos. getting out of milking was the hardest decision and the most emotional one. Great job educating the public on what a dairy farm really is like that was a hard part about doing it is the miseducation that is out there

I understand my mother died right after my brother died and it was very hard to deal with but you need to keep moving, you have memories of things you did with her and pictures. We all miss are mum's 33 year yep she past, she is still with you there in side you beating away that the way I look at all, are ancestors are there with you with out them we don't live . Your milking parlour is about 53 years out of date but it work's for you my first boss had one of the first herringbone milking parlours in Cornwall built in 1969 a 5 10 then upgraded to a 10 10 high level . Milked cow's for 7 year that was enough with cow's for me great video keep the passion 🙂🙃😊👍

I lost my Mom about 6 years, I was closer to my Mom than my Dad, I was her # 1 Son, really I was, I'm the oldest of 5 boys!! I'd say Mom, I'm your #1 son right, and she would say with a big smile, ya, right!!
