When I was in college, I was so privileged to meet Ms. Cicely Tyson and to actually shake her hand after a speech that she gave to us. She was truly a LEGEND and an ICON to me. May she Rest In Peace. 🙏🏾
I watched the entire episode of the Kennedy Honors today just to see the tribute to Ms Cicely Tyson. I cried. It was the most touching, human, honorable, legendary part of that night. When I saw her reaction to her loved song being sung I was reminded of this: Jesus said, unless you change and become like a child. ... “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you change and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” What a graceful, emblematic, loving presence Miss Tyson was on earth. May her grace and wisdom be eternal.
