A brilliant end for a brilliant show
Set within the suburbs of Sydney, Raymond "Ray" Shoesmith (Scott Ryan) is a hitman for hire who makes a life out of balancing his criminal activities with his obligations to friends and family. He tries to be a father to Brittany (Chika Yasumura), his daughter with his ex-wife, Jacinta (Natalie Tran), a loving boyfriend to Ally (Brooke Satchwell), and a good caretaker to his terminally ill brother Bruce (Nicholas Cassim). Ray also covers for his friend Gary (Justin Rosniak) when needed, and follows orders from his boss Freddy (Damon Herriman) without question. Ray deals with criminals and monsters in his own violent way; this behaviour, however, starts to take its toll and affects his relationships.

You can tell by that smile Ray gives at the end that he will survive these two.

Sad there wasnt a 4th season, but it was still one of the best series ive ever seen.

Great ending for a brill show, ended on a high note.
I think the fact that the final scene blends into the killer track "Run!" says it all! Mr Inbetween is my favourite ever TV drama. Second is an Irish crime drama called Love/Hate.

@@Ge_o totally agree!! Four years after seeing it it still haunts me. Check out a brand new Irish crime drama called Kin. Like Love/Hate but glossier. Aiden Gillen is also in it, as a kind of Christy Kinahan figure.

ending reminded me of a Rorschach line from Watchmen "Im not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me". HE took THEM out in the middle of nowhere so they'd have nowhere to run.

@@Ge_o I can't remember the magician too well but I think so, I just recognise the windows and front of the restaurant, it looks like they are at the same table too, maybe a homage to the magician for the finale, maybe the cast and crew ate their alot of the place is significant
I miss the show so much but it could of gone bad if it went on so to me it’s one of my favourite shows cheers brother
I think you may like a series called "Les Norton". Based on a series of books by Robert G Barrett. The books are absolutely terrific!! The tv series, slightly less so, but if you enjoyed Mr. Inbetween, I guarantee you won't be bored by Les Norton.
