@Mister Fatty: could you explain the use of the "Tape" fader?
+Dazzer1234567 .......ahhh, silly me, tape delay of course........
This is the fader for the tape delay. I use a modified Revox reel to reel. The Aux send is 'Post Fade' so the more you push the fader, the more feedback you get...
Wow, love the old school dub style. No idea this is what it took. Prefer it without the vocals though.
do you wanna play some jamaican sounds signal ina Indonesia Mr.Prince Fatty? :)
could you explain the two channels of drums? the 1st channel seems to be going through the effects buss, im guessing is only snare/hi hats. channel two would be just the kick?
look at the pan knobs
All the drums are on one channel (in mono)
@@PrinceFattyTV many years late to this but I'm scratching my head trying to work out how the first 2 channels are working also. The panning and use of the cue St, along with the comment that the drums are in mono is melting my newbie brain. Might be as I zero experience with this desk and am only thinking about it in terms of how my desk works. Regardless great vid and definitely have a new fan here. Cheers
Marijuana is totally unnecessary for meditation, but it SURE DOES HELP. ;)
As it relaxes your body and mind...
What delay is used on this?
i can make all this with the ssl six?
I believe SSL six has less aux for FX so you will be more limited - don't let that stop you !
Sorry, another question, how's the reliability on the SSL, you're working that bad boy pretty hard, so i guess you'd know...........
are those stems still availlable? is there any other place i could look for good dub stems? would love to get my fingers between some dubbing gears
you can find them here www.princefatty.co.uk/stems
That is some real Steppers jump rope style!
Dub dub dub dubwise
What is the "Tape" channel doing here? What is on that channel?
BooM!
1 + 2 is drums, but you only tweak channel one que - that green knob, what fx does that? it does not sound panned to left.
the green knob is the cue/aux send that I use for a reverb send. return of reverb is mono. the green knob is panned left as it is a stereo cue/aux send. Panned L is 1st reverb and when panned right it goes to a 2nd reverb unit.
@@PrinceFattyTV cool, i had no idea that kind of function was possible. Kinda like a x fader send. thx!
Chave
im trying to understand whats going on here, these are all loops or tracks playing from a daw separated over 8 channels on the x-desk so he can create live versions? re-routing back in the daw or a recorder for recording? and is the recording multiband after? looks amazing!!
Not even close.
I would imagine that's basically it apart from just going down to stereo mix.
Very nice....
Digital delay or analogue? I'm assuming the "Tape" channel was FX return. You ever tried sending the FX return out a send back into FX return? Dangerous as it swells very quickly but with subtle control can get some sweet double, triple tap returns.
All analogue! The tape gets fed back to itself using the post fade Aux
Fatness !
Super Mukke.. Gesang nervt nur!
